The truck has no theft system however the lights(interior, dash, head and parking lights) will blink on and off as if I have hit the panic button on the keyless remote but no horn will sound.

4 wheel drive on 2001 chev blazer won't kick in..lights flash, hear sound under floor board as if something moved/slid but won't go into 4 wheel

It sounds like the motor for engaging the 4wd isn't completely engaging, you're going to have to crawl under the truck and watch it while someone engages it. I cannot express enough how dangerous this could be to the person who climbs under the vehicle, take every precaution necessary even as far as lifting the truck up on jack stands on all 4 corners with all wheels off the ground.

Why does an beeping alarm sound and the 4WD light flash on and off when I press the 4WD button with the vehicle moving?

I once owned a sub that did that but only for a few seconds until 4wd engaged. You had to drive no faster than 25 mph. If it continues after you drive down the street a few houses it's not engaging. Before going to a mechanic, check for any loose connectors around the transfer case, located just behind the transmission. Next, get a free error code check at AutoZone, etc. and see if that points you anywhere. It could be you might still drive the car just don't use 4ad.

My brakes make an irritating noise though they work

Sounds like neglect to me

Strip down the brakes, remove all rust, machine rotors
if necessary, new pads if you do rotors, have to lube all sliding
surfaces, the pros don't & that has to be done once a year

No reason to have one brake issue in a life time of driving
many vehicles

My 1996 chevy blazer will start but it wont excellerate past 15 miles an hour and my engine light is flashing.

You will not be able to go any faster when the engine light is flashing the computer of the vehicle has gone into protection mode.It will not allow it to go any faster. When the light is flashing it means their is a potential danger of damage to the engine or transmission and the computer goes into protection mode. You must take it to a garage and get the computer scanned and the repairs made and the computer reset after the repairs are made. Do not drive this vehicle at all it would be safer to have it towed so you don't cause more damage to it

I have a 2001 Chevy Blazer. Yesterday, my car died while driving down the street. Once I got it to the side of the street, no dash lights would turn on. I had had some battery problems about a month ago,...

IT COULD BE A BAD ALTERNATOR. JUMP START THE CAR, REMOVE THE JUMPER CABLES, PUT A VOLTMETER ON THE BATTERY. MOTOR RUNNING, VOLTAGE SHOULD READ 13.90 TO14.80. IF IT READS 13.00 OR LESS OR THE VOLTAGE STARTS DROPPING, THE ALTERNATOR IS NOT CHARGING. BEFORE BUYING AN ALTERNATOR, GET A GOOD FUSE TESTER, CHECK EVERY FUSE,, FUSEBOX UNDER THE HOOD & THE FUSEBOX INSIDE THE VEHICLE. IF ALL FUSES CHECK GOOD & BATTERY VOLTAGE IS LOW WITH MOTOR RUNNING, THE ALTERNATOR MUST BE BAD.

it's flashing because there is an issue. nothing to do with an accident.

Vsc light is on, can i still drive 2005 highlander

When your VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) light comes on, it means your car has been forced to take evasive action to avoid a dangerous situation. For example, if you're driving on an icy or wet, slippery road, and take a turn too sharp or accelerate too quickly, the vehicle will automatically reduce acceleration or apply pressure to the brakes to prevent the car from losing control. In this situation the VSC indicator light will light up to alert you that the action was taken, and remind you to slow down - or to be extra careful. Be safe!
