same problem they both just fell in my lap

they are not just 3 screws, and mine are both shredded- the piece inside that holds the visor in place broke, and now I have rigged them to keep from falling in my lap, but they flop around and hit me in the face. At this point the mechanism inside needs replaced to hold a new visor as well.

You need to replace the plastic piece goes around the support rod inside the visor. You should be able to unscrew the visor from the support rod to see the plastic piece. If it is old and fragile its probably either broken or breaking. There are 2 tabs that lock into a notch on the inside, you may be able to just line them up again if the plastic piece isnt broken. I'm not sure where you'd be able to find a replacement plastic piece, but I'm sure they sell them somewhere. should keep it from falling in your face.

hint: dont try to hold it up with Velcro, it just makes a mess and still doesnt work.

Sun visors are probably held on by 3 screws. Just unscrew the old ones and screw in the new ones.

How do I program the garage door opener on the sun visor?

Directions are in your owners manual. Most are done by holding down the sun visors button until it flashes, then hold your opener next to the visor and push your openers button.
