Dash "warning" lights all work but the speedo and tach do not lite up.

Wiring. The illumination usually has it's own power and ground wires. You'll need a pin out for the plug. Check the power and ground at the plug. Missing( most likely), Then check the power wire to any ground or the body. If you have power, then check the ground wire to any hot fuse. If you don't get a 12 volt reading, cut the wire and run a new ground. Same for the power wire. But it is best to run the power wire back to the light switch.

There may be multiple ground wires for the thermostat housing. Check the following link and a diagram to illustrate the wiring positions. Look down the forum page.

Where is the thermostat

Follow the lower radiator hose from the base of the radiator to where it meets the engine. At that Junction are two 10 mm bolts that will need to be removed to replace the thermostat. Be sure when you go back together with the new thermostat you remember to fasten the ground wire to the thermostat housing! This is the main ground wire 101 and the vehicle will not start without it grounded.

Speedometer and tach stopped working 92 honda accord

Since the Speedo and Tach both quit working and they use separate sending units, I would be looking for a common electrical plug they share under the dash behind the speedo. When you find said plug check to make sure that it is plugged in securely. if it seems to be plugged in well unplug it and then replug it just in case the contacts were getting a bit dirty or corroded.
