Question about 1990 Hyundai Excel
Can you help? I have a Hyundai Excel 1990 and last night it became hesitant and eventually limped to a complete stop. I was able start it a few times and to begin with it spluttered on for a few minutes on the last attempt I was able to drive it 70km home and it was fine! The fuel pump has been noisy fo a while and did make a higher pitched noise during this time. The ECU was replaced at 69,000km (the car has only done 77,000 km). Any ideas? Vikki
If the fuel pump was making a high pitch sound and it was more noisy than usual then i would replace it, i have the same car and had the exact same problem. When you do do a fuel pump always replace the fuel filter.
