2002 Hyundai sante fe stalls after cold start then runs fine. Starts fine and idles Great with no problem. Once I put the car in gear and give it gas it stalls. If I baby the pedal I can get going but then I feel the car hiccup or misfire. It goes away shortly and it seems to be fine after a bit. It will hiccup at least 3 or 4 times noticablly. This all started after a long wet weekend and I found the air filter wet and changed it. Weeks later with no rain problem persists.

The item in question is call Idle Air Control (IAC).
This unit function is to do fine idle trimming at idle.
IAC is located near the end of the accelerator cable.
It move internally with a worm gear to adjust idle.

You will need a friend to friend to test IAC.
Start engine and turn on all electrical items.
HIGH BEAM,AC,RADIO,ALL FANS,SUNROOF to max out the drain.
Carefully listen for movement at IAC.

Check for cable disconnection / damage at IAC.

possible cause to your problem could be faulty transaxle range switch or fault in the TCM.

Engine stalls or RPM fluctuates at idle up and down or dies near idle.

This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve but always run a OBD2 fault code as well as the cleaning procedure. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control

What motor ??? L4-2.4L, V6-2.7L or V6-3.5L...

You need to take your car and have the check engine light read. You can do that a AutoZone for free and they will tell you want is wrong. Can you give more details on the "Jumping" part? Is it when you put it into gear? While its sitting their?

This issue is caused by a fault in the evap. emmision system. In the engine compartment there is a purge valve that takes in engine vaccum and fuel vapours. The valve is malfunctioning. It is located on the right side of the intake planum.
