Remove timing belt and move crank shaft and cam shaft tiltiming marks are in the rigt places, put belt back on making sure not to move either pulley, being that far out of time should not cause any internal damages, but will prevent vehicle from starting.

Testimonial: "yes"

  10. ask how, each test is well known, for 100 years, most key tests are. compression, vacuum , timing lamp to test spark., fuel pressure gauge, voltmeter and a scan tool. so we dont need to gue$$.
  11. warning #1, the 2.4L is DOHC (twin cam) and is and listed interference engine so that means we check the belt first step3 above, or huge risk of bent head poppet valves ensues. A full belt condition (x2) belts and timing of cam NOT OFF is done. a the get go,
  12. I do not know history of any car nor parts already replaced, so do not get in a huff if my post is too inclusive. (all ways to fail)
  13. I will never post the 50 ways, here, here is 2 more (cam cracked, or 1 valve stuck open. and vacuum a wreck bouncing) ok more CAT melted, or EGR stuck open, map or maf dead. FULL STOP see engines and EFI are not simple.

High co reading for emission

what rpm or speed, both? which Civic engine????? of the 5
and what country????? we can not guess this... ever.
and no one ever says.. here. 99% true.
why is not easy. 50ways there are.
it's running rich. (we have one good input. this)

but here are the reasons, (not the 50 causes) all the below are tests.
it's misfiring. is rich misfire.
causes: many I'll assume the cars 12v power is 10 to 145v at all times. 13.3v running minimum.
1: low compression on one or more cylinders. 150psi w.o.t is min.
2: bad spark or not timed right. to any cylinders. or all. tests.
3: bad fueling. above must be good (tools used and tests)

now if compression is good. and the EGR main down leak
if spark is good, what causes high HC,
simple misfire.
what causes misfire.
  1. bad spark plugs (ever tune it up? now be the time, huh?)
  2. bad injectors, leaking or clogged. clean em.
  3. fuel pressure too high, 28 is min, max (see end)
  4. you find one injector , NOID lamp test stuck ON.
  5. o2 sensors stuck lean (exhaust leaks)
  6. Fuel pump regulator stuck closed, causing #3
there are 5 engines, (why not state yours.??????0
1.5 L to 3.0L
the fuel pressure is different on all .
40-47 PSI. 1.7L and 2.3L
47-54 PSI on 2.0L and 2.2L
41-48 PSI on 3.0L
and then the exceptions
1-- Except SULEV: 48-55 psi SULEV: 47-54 2 Except SULEV: 47-55 psi SULEV: 48-55 psi
if you read the FSM,, it shows tests at the rail.
fuel pressure.
fuel regulation test.
shut test
injector leak down test.
and the injector balance test.
we do them all, or fail;.
all this is FSM.

do you want us to guess or test?
the latter avoids the 50 guesses. 49 being wrong.$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Hard starting and fuel pressure around 50 psi sometimes slow to get there

It is your fuel pressure regulator is bad replace it. Please rate my solution it is why i do what i do thanks in advance. The fuel pressure regulator is what holds the fuel pressure in the fuel rail if this is defective the fuel rail can not keep enough pressure to fire threw the injectors. Also change your fuel filter at the same time. If the mileage is very high looking into fuel pump replacement at this juncture would be wise to do preventive work keeping the down time of your auto to a minimum. Thanks in advance please rate.

Have a 2007 mitsubishi L200 4D56 command rail engine that will not run. The only way I can make this engine run is to unplug the pressure sensor located on the end of the fuel rail. Even then, it will only...

In your case the pressure sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced. 1) Stores pressurized fuel (25 to 180 MPa) that has been delivered from the supply pump and distributes the fuel to each cylinder injector. A rail pressure sensor and a pressure limiter valve are adopted in the rail. 2) The rail pressure sensor (Pc sensor) detects fuel pressure in the rail and sends a signal to the engine ECU, and the pressure limiter controls the excess pressure. This ensures optimum combustion and reduces combustion noise. ---- Rail • The rail is mounted between the supply pump and the injector, and stores the high-pressure fuel. --------- Injector:-------- • This injector replaces the conventional injection nozzle, and achieves optimal injection by effecting control in accordance with signals from the engine ECU. Signals from the engine ECU determine the duration and timing in which current is applied the injector. This in turn, determines the quantity, rate and timing of the fuel that is injected from the injector. ------------ Rail Pressure Sensor (Pc Sensor) 1) The pressure sensor detects the fuel pressure of the rail, and sends a signal to the engine ECU. The sensor is made from a semiconductor that uses the Piezo resistive effect to detect changes in electrical resistance based on the pressure applied to the elemental silicon. In comparison to the old model, this sensor is compatible with high pressure. ---------- There is a service manual for how the fuel rail sensor and fuel system works. Its for mitsubishi L200 4D56.----------- Click this link for referring the service manual:--- http://technoanswers.blogspot.com/2011/06/service-manual-for-mitsubishi-l200-4d56.html ----------- This should help.thanks.Helpmech.

NEED ADJUST SET IGNITION TIMING.MOST TIME YOU INSTALL ANOTHER NEW ENGINE.THE IGNITION TIMING AT DISTRIBUTOR OFF TIME LITTLE TOO FAR ADVANCE CAUSING WEAK SPARKS FOULING OUT SPARK PLUGS. CHECK FUEL PRESSURE SOON AS ENGINE STOP AGAIN DONT TURN ON IGNITION SWITCH CHECK FUEL PRESSURE.SHOULD BE 43 PSI. IF NOT 0 FUEL PUMP BAD OR FUEL PUMP RELAY FAULTY OR FUEL FILTER STOPPED UP.IF FUEL SYSTEM GOOD PROBLEM IN THE IGNITION TIMING.

The inline fuel injecter is messed up, do i have to drop the gas tank on a 95 grand jeep cherokee?

no, fuel injectors are on the motor, in you look at your engine, right above one of the spark plugs, you will see an silver looking bar go accross twords the next plug, this is you fuel rail, on the inside of this rail are the injectors, each one goes into the block and has two little wires going into it. Once you know which of these injectors is bad you can take off the fuel rail (being careful to relieve the fuel pressure first) and then replace the injector, which snaps into both the block and the fuel rail, please also note that when you do this, be sure the old "o" rings come out with the old inject and the new injectors have the "o" ring in place, i once had a bad experience whyen i neglected to do so. Good Luck!

1995 honda civic d15b7 cranks but wont start. new

Are you sure you have correct timing? its definetly a fule problem, if timing is good then turn your key to the on position and try to listin for the fule pump to prime. While the key is in on position go to fuel rail, there is a valve on fule rail called sharader valve. Get a small screw driver and press valve in to check if car has fule pressure. if pressure is present then it is incorrect timing or possible bad cam sensor.
