1993 Buick LeSabre is missing at 50 to 60 mph

I have a 1993 Buick LeSabre with about 100,000 on it.. A little old lady had it first- My Mom... It's been missing up around 60 mph. I'm looking for suggestions.? I also have bought a fuel filter and still need to do the install on that, as I do not have a clue when that was done last. Any suggestions on doing this?

Thanks in advance for any comments

I believe that's what it's doing. When driving down the highway and accelerating say from turning and getting up to speed, it will hesitate and not continue increasing speed without running rough. It seems to be most noticeable between 50 to 60 mph. Does this help clarify anything?

I changed the fuel filter today. I'm sure it was due for a change, however it was not the fix I was hoping for. Next I need to get the plugs changed. What about that injector cleaner that you can put into a tank of gas? Is that stuff any good at all?
    Thanks for the help...

Same problem with 2001 Buick Century - hesitates/stumbles between 50 - 60 mph. I replaced fuel filter - problem still occurs.

I think the fuel filter may be starting to plug up, also change the plugs and plug wires, they are due at 100,000 miles.

Engine is stalling when at idle while driving, would a loose ground from battery do this

Get the car up to 55 mph and if the engine smoothes out then replace the EGR Valve. If the engine does'nt smooth out at 55 mph then check the fuel pressure. It should be 41-47 psi with the key on and engine off.

How do you program a new key for a 1993 Buick LeSabre

The old key has a chip in it. A dealer or key shop has a reader that will tell you the chip number. You will have to buy a blank key with that same chip number and have it cut from your old key.

My 1990 Buick Lesabre shakes at 40 mph what do I do?

Check front engine mounts. Open hood, hold brake pedal down, put car in drive, press gas pedal down a little and see if engine jumps up due to a broken mount.

I have a 1993 buick lesabre with 31000 miles. it has sat for a year, tranny slips in first gear only. i manualy put in first gear and gently give gas it will start moving when i hit 10 mph i shift to...

Might be a good idea to have fluid & filter changed, due to possibility of moisture build up etc. from sitting. Certainly the most inexpensive, and reasonable solution. Have all connectors removed & sprayed with contact cleaner too.

Rough idle when starting,

after the tune-up stuff, i would look into fuel pressure, mass air flow sensor, or even the start of a clogged cat converter.
