This is a common issue, the issue that I had with mine 3 times was that the vent door would not stay open which tells that fan clutch to turn on or off. I had to replace it 3 times, and the previous owner replaced it twice and the dealership once. The 2002 through 05 Trailblazers have this issue

Need instructions for replacing right head lamp for a 2004 Chev trailblazer

You have to remove the holder clip for the grill, plus remove a few bolts holding the headlight assembly to pull the headlight away far enough to remove the bulb holder. You can try to squeeze your hand in there to get to it, but you'd have to have small small hands.

Head lamp doesn't work

It all depends. You need to trace it back to the fuse and switch. A switch is cheap, the harness that the switch plugs into is cheap but you have to pull one wire out at a time and replace them in the exact same slots. The fuses are cheap and wire is cheap.
Whats not cheap is paying someone to track it down. So if you feal confident witn multimeter. Then its some what easy and very cheap to fix.
