My 96 intrepid has new wire lines, different bcm, pcm, tcm and cluster and the gauges still don't work. Put in a ignition switch also.

IF SLAPPING THE DASH WORKS, THE PROBLEM IS MOST LIKLEY A BURNED WIRE CONNECTION IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRING, YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE THE CLUSTER AND DISSAMBLE TO REPAIR BROKEN WIRES IN THE PANEL HARNESS CONNECTOR.

Fuel pump removal

I am assuming you know how to gain access to the fuel pump through the panel in the bottom of the trunk and remove the assembly. When looking at the fuel pump and sender assembly, there is a square opening that allows you to see the fuel pump module connector. There is a small tab in the center of the connector that has to be pressed DOWN from the inside using a long thin screwdriver.

If you need to take the wires out of the connector, you need a special tool. There are several aftermarket tools available. The connectors have a little retaining clip inside the connector that must be depressed to allow the wires to be removed.

That should do it.

96 dodge intrepid,

might just be a bad connection or corroded connection at the coil or the crankshaft sensor. Also could be crankshaft sensor is bad. Start with moving the connector while someone turns it over for you. Also see if your tachometer registers at all during cranking.
