Question about 1998 Mitsubishi Montero
The MIL is coming on just for 2or 3 seconds when the ignition is put on.
The cranking is ok,the throttle flap is opening( can be seen with the inlet hose from the air-flow-meter removed ).No power to the injectors, but there is power to the coils. No sign of starting is observed.
Can the problem be with the ECUs?
I would like to tell you that your " choose the product's Category " does not contain pajero on the " Select Model ". So, for the sake of selecting something I have just pointed Montero 1998
try cleaning the throttle body first then if that dont work you will need to replce the iac motor wich is located on the bottom of the throttle body your car is hunting for the correct idle position and either the sensor inside the iac motor is dirty or it is bad

If memory serves you will need to have the dealership (or darned good mechanic for a Mitsubishi) to electronically "reset" (reboot) your Modulator Interface (I don't know the Mitsubishi name for this part). In other words, you need a "car geek"? lol... Good luck!
