Have a look for a reverse switch on the gear box, it may have a wire off or the switch is not working. Check for power at the lights when in reverse.

Stuck in park, power windows don't work, reverse lights don't work dash doesn't work. keeps blowing 10 amp fuse for reverse lights.changed brake pedal switch didn't help

of course changing a brake pedal switch will not help in a reversing light problem
they are two totally different circuits
check for a damaged wire at the reverse light switch or bulb holder for the reversing bulbs for a dead short
as for the rest check the IGN fuse under the bonnet

Reverse lights on 1997 bighorn not working

if the lights not working check the fuse with a test light, if they appeared to be good remove the bulb and find a good ground to clip your test light with the pointed end of the test light touch the center led witch should be positive if it dont light up check the ground then the wires it self there may be a short or a bad ground and change the bulb if you cant see weather its good or bad and sometime you have to scrape inside or twist the bulb i hope you get some results

I have 1997 chevy c1500. The brake lights work. The reverse lights don't work. I replaced the bulbs, not the problem. I checked the fuse, not the problem. What else can I do to fix this problem??

Do you have power coming out of the reverse circuit on the neutral safety switch ? Or the reverse switch if the truck has a manual trans ?

1997 saturn tail lights not working checked fuses and changed bulbs still not working

saturs have always had problems with the taillights not working or signals not working also, the way i was told to fix the problem is to change the plugs where the bulbs go, the plugs get burn spots and wont let the bulbs make contact. hope this helps.

The reverse ligths on my mom's S-10 pick up won't come on.

I'm guessing you checked the bulbs. test the reverse light switch. Should be found on the drivers side of the transmission. Should have power leaving it when the truck is in reverse.

No tail lights

Try checking the headlight switch it may have broken contacts in it. Easy fix go to a salvage yard find same make and model truck, swap headlight switches.

1998 Chevy S10 pickup backup lights don't work

Yes it screws in on right side of tramission and you will need a 7/8 inch deep socket to remove it. You may be able to clean the old one once it is removed. There is a little ball thatgets dirty and may you can get by with cleaning it. Good Luck. Ed

1998 chevy truck tail light an panel light popin fuse,s i checked all wiring in rear no damage to wiring bought an change 3 way bulb holder. still same prob, don,t no were to go next Keith

Somtimes the bulbs get a dead short in them even though they look OK. Install new bulbs or remove all bulbs on this circuit and reinstall one at a time to see if fuse pops. I had this problem with signal lights on 95 chevy 1500 and turned out the back up bulbs were on the same circuit. Bad back up bulb so once truck was in reverse it blew the fuse and then the signals did not work. Cheap enough to be worth a shot.
