Question about 1993 Honda Civic 4 Door
I agree to both solutions the problem on these vehicles are due to a bad fuel pump relay which is mounted right in the steering columnway inside the dash board it consist of seven wires and the relay takes a long time to cool off and causes this problem replace the relay the last time i bought one was around 110 dollars and it is best to get one from HOnda

Check the main relay under the dash, near the steering wheel. It will malfuction when it gets hot. It's worse in hot weather.

Check the fuel pump relay or even the fuel pump....Before the ''check engine'' light turned off you have to listen 2 different sounds.if not you have to check the relay or the fuel pump..i am not a mechanic but happened to me twice on the past
