Need diagram for 2001 dodge stratus 2.7 engine timing chain

look on the underside of the hood or the radiator crossmember, there will be a diagram.

This engine uses a timing chain not a timing belt, a timing chain never needs to be replaced unless it fails or the engine is being rebuilt

1. Remove the timing belt.
   

   Crankshaft and camshaft timing marks-2.4L engine
   

   Timing belt tensioner-2.4L engine

Click on the following direct Free Link. It has the correct Timing Belt Diagrams, including the one for the 2.4L. Scroll down that Page to the Diagram with the 2.4L Camshaft Timing Marks. As you can see there is a 1/2 notch difference. There are also additional Diagrams that will be very useful to you. I've worked alot on the 2.4L and trying to line these up 'perfectly' can cause problems.

Major disassembly of the engine is needed. Errors in the reassembly can cause major engine problems.

Best left to a repair shop that has experience in this job.

Timing belt, 2.4L is an interference engine.
I would suggest replacing the water pump when you change the belt.
