Question about 1998 Ford Explorer
I have a 98 Explorer and my window is stuck in the down position. I can hear the motor click when I hit the down button, but nothing when I hit up. All of the other windows work fine and this window worked randomly a week ago when it was raining and became slightly wet. I tried spraying lube throughout door interior and still no luck. Thought about trying to change wiring to one of the windows that are working but I have no clue on what I'm doing..
Or the clicking is a relay under the dash... not sure that they have seperate relays for each window tho. my windstar van relays are horrible for quiting. couldn't get the back windows to open and if they did they would no close.... just changed the relay and they are fine now.
Incidentally other then having to probably clean the window again... oil doesn't conduct electricity.
The other option is that the motor has quit inside the door.
