I have the same issue, and agree that all the harness's are supposed to have the fog provision in them. I located the wiring for the switch. My question is, where are the lamp wiring pigtails located?

YES, 2007 HHR HAS ONLY ONE PART NUMBER FOR THE FORWARD LAMP HARNESS.
ODDS ARE THE CONNECTORS ARE THERE.
THE I/P HARNESS ALSO MAKES NO LISTING OF WITH OR WITHOUT FOG LIGHTS. SO THE CONNECTOR FOR THE SWITCH MAY VERY WELL BE THERE ALSO.

I have a second generation xterra, I want to instal some fog lights on the bumper and it has factory holes with, what seems to be removable round covers. My question being, those factory cut out holes are...

probably not but you can measure the lights and the holes to see it they will fit when the plug section is removed. Sometimes it is wiser to get genuine as they will come with all the harness to fit the lights.

I just bought a 2009 dodge ram without fog lights i bought a bumper with fog light an switch them out but i need to know how to connect the lights to the factory switch inside what do i need to do

If your PU didn't come with factory installed fog lights then you will need to replace your headlight switch with a fog light enabled headlight switch.

Here is a link to the factory dealer-installed instructions.....

http://www.mopardodge.com/accessories/Instructions/82208102AC_IFU.pdf

You only need to get the components you don't already have. The headlight switch that is fog enabled will pull out for fog light operation, if yous doesn't you need to replace the switch and do some wiring as shown in the pdf file linked above.

Hope this helps!

07 chevy hhr i need to change my little turn signal light that is right next to my fog light how do i get to it

This is a tough one, but the turn signal bulb (and also the headlight bulb) is accessed by opening up the inside wheel well.

You will need to turn the steering wheel hard in, then turn the car off. There are both screws and push fasteners holding the plastic inside well in place. Loosen as many as needed to bend it out of the way and you can then reach inside and replace the bulbs.

As a recommendation, you might as well replace both sides at the same time. They will both fail at about the same time.

The owners manual actually describes this process, as also gives the information on the replacement bulbs.

09' hhr fog light wiring

You will need to completely wire your own setup. The "stock" fog lights on the HHRs are wired through the Body Control Module computer which can not be reprogrammed without being replaced. Cost of the computer is over $300 and certainly NOT worth it for a set of fog lights. Put in your own switch, wiring, etc. I would highly recommend that you use a relay to power them since the electrical system for the HHR is very sensitive to external additions.
