1992 deville air bag light stays on all the time. What do I need to do to fix this? Alison

When AIRBAG light it comes back on and stays on, it is telling you that there is a fault in the air bag system and that the system has been disabled because it is now working properly. To determine what is wrong with the system you will need to count the amount of flashes that the light does right before it stays on permanently and that will tell you what tests need to be done to determine why the system is down.

The most common thing that happens is the clock spring in the steering column goes bad (if this occurs, notice that the speed control and the horn no longer works as well).
