Ok on the regular windshield wiper controll there is a switch for the rear one, and the button with the w on it it a weather setting which set the car to change gears at lower rpm's in order to maintain better traction in wet or icy weather

The W button next to your gearbox is for setting off from a standstill in wet conditions. When depressed it limits the amout of power to the driving wheels to prevent the wheels spinning on wet surfaces. Once depressed a small red arrow should appear on the dashboard.

I believe the off-on switch for the rear wiper is on the the turn signal lever as that's where it is on my 1997 V40.

The rear window wiper could be any number of things, from a blown fuse to broken wires to a failed wiper motor. As for the "W" button, it's for Winter driving mode. It'll start the car off the line in 2nd gear to minimize torque to the road and thus control wheelspin, and it alters the shifting parameters of the car so that it remains as stable as possible in slippery conditions.

It has to be switched on, independently of the front wipers (there's a separate switch).

I don't know where it is. I'd imagine it's a toggle on one of the stalks or a button to either side of the steering column but I don't know for sure.

Can the wiper linkage cause the wipers to park vertical. Wipers work fine on all settings. Tried repositioning the wiper arms but it didn't work

normally if the wiper arms park in the wrong place , it is the fitting of the wiper arms on the pivot that is wrong
try pulling the wipers back off the windscreen , run them through a cycle and then switch off normally
that will be the park position in the motor gear box
then remove each arm from the pivot and re- position it about 1" from the bottom of the screen
that will be the parked position for the wiper blades
having done that then again pull the arms back of the screen and cycle as if wiping the screen
switch of and see where the arms now park on the screen
if it is close to where you set them then that is the park position
next run the wipers a cycle and see if at full movement one arm puts the blade over the edge of the screen or hits the edge
switch off and re-position that arm closer to the bottom of the windscreen
it is time consuming but the only way to park wipers properly as there is no master spline to set in the correct position
If they park any where after this exercise ,replace the wiper unit as there is a problem in the contacts in the motor box.

Which is the fuse for windscreen washer in a 2010 yaris car ?

The fuse box is located down or just above where a driver puts their left foot, under the steering well and below the coin box. According to ABMforum.com: "The front wiper rear wiper and washers are on separate fuses (15A WSH front and rear washers 25A WIP front wiper 15A RR WIP rear wiper)."

If you just want to locate the control for it, I would recommend looking in the Owner's Manual. It has all kinds of stuff in there like how to control all of the accessories on your vehicle. You should read it sometime...

My front wipers arent working, could it just be the fuse? if so which fuse do i change as the list only has my rear wiper on it.

Fuse nr.31, F31, (25A) = Windscreen wipers
This fuse is placed on fuse box / relay plate engine bay 1, under bonnet in engine compartment area!

If the fuse F31 is OK.
You must diagnose why windscreen wipers going slow and/or stopping.
In order to find out the cause of wipers stopping you can try follows:
1. Carefully extract the wiper arms from their axles (two pieces). In some cases you need to use an extracting tool. Heed of the windscreen !!!
2. Disassemble the plastic covers from the bottom of the windscreen.
3. With the bonnet up you can start the engine, (transmission in "N" or "P" position and parking brake on). Now you must switch on the control lever of the wipers, and go to the engine compartment. If the wiper motor runs let the wiper motor running for a few minutes and switch off. Go to the step 4. If the wiper motor do not runs you must check first the electrical feeding of the motor. It is necessary to unscrew three bolts of the mechanism and disconnect the electrical coupling (difficult assurance). If the electrical feeding is OK you must replace the motor - steps 5, 6, 7. If not you must check electrical connections, the control switch of wipers and electric cables.
4. Now you must check the two bearings of wiper mechanism with your hand. In the most cases the left bearing is out of order (is very hot). This is the most encounter fault of the wipers running at Audi.
5. For have enough space to manipulation the wiper motor together with their mechanism you must extract the plastic cover of the engine computer box, and extract also the box screws. Then you can move slowly the engine computer box, just for a few milimeters.
6. You must disconnect the electrical coupling of the motor (difficult assurance), unscrew three bolts of the mechanism and extract together with the motor. You must move them slowly between windscreen and engine computer box until the wiper motor go out together with the mechanism. This is the most difficult operation!
7. Now you can repair the bearings, replace entire wiper mechanism or replace the wiper motor. It is not very simply, but it works.
Heed of the windscreen !!!
Refit all in reverse order.

Rear wiper does not work at all. front wipers work fine. rear washer works

1. check the fuse to the rear wiper motor
2. check for power to rear wiper motor at the motor (power wire going in to the wiper motor with rear wiper switch on)
If you have good fuses & have power going in to the rear wiper motor...
3. Pull old rear wiper motor and install a new rear wiper motor.
Thank you please drive thru......

Rear Windscreen wiper not working Seat Ibiza 2003

smonahan, The rear wiper fuse is actually a circuit breaker. It will reset itself.
Your wiper arm has probably stripped were it attaches to the motor shaft. You can check by trying to move the wiper arm with your hand, if it moves back and forth, its stripped. A new wiper arm will be needed.
Try it and let me know.
