Every time i try to switch from 2 wheel to 4 wheel drive i blow a fuse, tried to replace fuse but blows as soon as i put one in

Hi Barbara, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair

Barbara, it sound like you may have an actuator motor that is shorted, here how to check it. On the front axle you will see a motor assembly with wiring and connector. Unplug that connector and leave it off, then try to put it into 4 wheel drive. If it doesn't blow the fuse then you know its a shorted actuator motor. Hope this helps and please visit my auto-repair-website here: http://www.bigasautorepair.com/

I have a 2001 GMC Yukon that will not shift into four wheel drive. I can hear the click, when I push the button and the light blinks but it will not remain solid and I dont think I should drive it without...

it sounds to me like the motor that switches the transfer case into 4 wheel drive DO NOT try to put it in 4 wheel. There should be no problem driving it as it is but if you continue to try it may get stuck in between and cause major problems

I have an '02 gmc yukon, stuck in 4 low.

Check for a blown fuse. use your manual to find fuse location. you can remove the shift motor and engage it manually, you need to remove front driveshaft.

Can,t get truck out of 4x4 low range

try putting your truck in neutral and then shifting into 2 wheel drive shift on the fly does not apply to 4 low only 4 high and on electric shift models it wont shift unless your ****** is in neutral.
