Tape deck stopped working in 2000 Honda Accord: could it be something as simple as a fuse?? Thanks

If radio still works and tape does not - IT'S NOT a fuse. If both are out then more than likely yes.

Clock, power locks, power windows and radio not working

for the check engine light you will have to borrow a OBD2 code scanner from your local auto parts store and find out what the code is. although it may be related to: for your electrical problem there is a blown 10 or 15 amp fuse. just check your fuse box for one that is blown. there may be more than one. replace with same-amperage fuse and see if it happens again.
