You should get a medal for changing a head light bulb in a Chrysler.
Anyway, if you have it apart and haven't junked it yet, first check all the fuses related to lights. If I had my book here, that would help, but NOT! Check the socket to see it if is getting juice. If you've gotten this far you can use a coupla piece of wire to stick into the socket receivers and touch them to the points on another good 12Volt bulb. OR use a multimeter set on 12V.Don't worry, it's 12 v DC and cannot hurt you unless you're standing in a puddle of water and you're soaking wet- just be cautious. If the bulb lights or the meter twitches with some twisting and tweaking, replace the socket. (no worse that re-wiring a lamp at home... If that is NOT the issue, it is in the harness further back toward the firewall, but that;'s not really likely unless you have a hurd of mice living back there. Wrap it up and GO!

Also try brightening the ring around the socket with some steel wool to clear away any corrosives that may have built up over time...a bad ground could be causing this too. Use one of those pieces of wire I talked about to make a temporary ground tothe chassis- a bolt or screw on the engine.... :)

How do I fix problem with my right side low beam headlight on 2007 jeep Liberty

Check the wiring on that light. Also check the bulb with a couple of wires to the battery, or swap the bulb left to right to make sure the new bulb is okay.

High voltage lighting on premium automotive

The first thing you think to do,to fix your headlight, cause it is not working,is to change the head lamp, right?Well,if you own a premium auto, like lexus ,audi, bmw jag, etc.then this is what you do,when you find a head light bulb not working, look at the voltage printed on the bulb itself, remember not to touch the glass part of the bulb.If it is more than 12 volts, like 46 volts,or 86 volts, something like that then you know it will have a converter. You know the auto is set up on a 12 volt system,so,it has to have a converter to convert the voltage to that high voltage to light the bulb, there will be a converter right behind the head lamp, for each head light, left, and right, before replacing the high dollar bulb swap the one that you know is working,to that side that is not working, this will keep you from buying a high dollar bulb if you do not need to.If the bulb, that you know that is good, works on the side that did not work to begen with, then you know the bulb was bad,but if the bulb still does not work after putting it on the side that did work, then the converter is bad.So be sure to check this before buying a new bulb, even though the converter(from the dealer only) is real expensive, there is no reason to purchase a high dollar bulb, and then have to fork out mega bucks to buy the converter also.

Drivers side head light is way dimmer than passenager light even after new bulb replacement

When looking from the outside of the headlight at the bulb, can you see the bulb clearly??
These lenses are notorious for dulling very badly. If it has you can use a regular headlight 'restoring' kit sold at most auto part locations.

If it is not a lens issue, you may have a wiring/supply issue.
Then you would need to find the troublesome wire/connection.
I am not the best at wiring issues, but I would try to find a power source wire with the same amperage rating, run a bypass jumper from a known good voltage source and see if the light changes. If no change, your problem may be the harness or plug at the rear of the headlight bulb.
Hope I could help

Someone told me that my light was dim on the right side. My husband changed the bulb, well it will not come on at all when I have my lights on regular but if I turn the bright lights on it works. He then...

I would rule out a bad light connector plug, and then the ground connection. generally you will find a good size wire attached to each side of the headlights which is screwed into the chassis for a ground. when a head light is dim, there is usually something afoul there. i would bet that your husband plugged the wrong type bulb into the socket, that is why it did not come on at all with the new bulb. there are two different head light bulbs, physically they are the same, but electrically they are different so you can easily put the wrong one in either socket. this holds true for the tail lights as well, easy to get them backwards.

if you can not find an obvious problem with the ground or the connector, then a mechanic is going to have to put his hands and eyes on it. this could be a type of problem where a high dollar dealer service department might be a better choice than a low dollar garage. if this is a common problem the dealer could fix it in a snap and there may even be a recall on the light fixture.

My passengers side brake light is out, but when a new light bulb was put in it still will not work, what could be wrong?

here is the deal, I am not an electrician but i play one on TV, ha ha. There are two bulb sockets which are physically the same, but electrically different in that tail light assembly. Likewise there are two bulbs which look the same and will fit in either socket but they are not the same bulbs. Folks every day put the wrong bulb in the wrong socket. Both wiring plugs will connect to either bulb. What you need to do first before you spend any money is make sure that the right bulb is in the right socket. It takes some close inspection before you see the difference and generally the odds are against you if it is 50/50, at least it is with me. It may help to remember that as you drive you know when someone in front of you hits the brakes because that bulb is much brighter. And you no doubt have followed someone who's tail light just seemed way too bright. So you know from experience that the bulbs have different uses and brightnesses and the wiring will reflect that. If that process does not help, they sell new light sockets at advance and autozone.

I need to replace low beam head light lamp, right side. 2002 dts

Pop the hood, remove the plastic cover over the radiator, remove 3 screws holding headlight assembly, yank forward, remove plastic plate on the back of the assembly, carefully twist and remove old bulb, replace new one the same way. Remember to change both headlights (even if the other one still works!) Changing only one will cause the older one to burn out quickly and besides, you'll have different brightness levels. Hope that helps.

Headlight one side works on bright the other side works on dim

Try swapping the headlight bulbs or buying a known good bulb and testing that way. Sounds like a shorted bulb filament issue.
