in 1991 chevy used 3 differant trasmission's a 4L60-E, 4L80-E and a 700R4 in 1993 they used 2 differant transmissions a 4L60-E and a 4L80-E if your truck has the 700R4 then the 93 transmissions will not work if you ned to find out what you have in your truck and what is in the other truck. if they are the same they will swap the only diffance in the ext. cab and reg cab is the drive shaft. but the transmission have to be the same modles a 4L60-E will not replace a 4L80-E and nothing will replace the 700R4.

is the drive shaft rotate when in gear?rear shaft or front rotate??

I have had trouble 2.. id say go with a 4l80..I don't know if it mounts up to motor but im betting it would cause some 3/4 trucks come w/ the 4l80...& motors are the same..

some stamp this on the dipstick for the transmission. without seeing the pan on the transmission its either a 700-r4 4L60 or a 4L80 trans. if you count the number of bolts in the trans it would help

Automatic three speed 3L80 OR 3L80-HD or a four speed 4L60, 4L60-E or 4L80-E. You can have the VIN # checked at a Chevy/GM dealer to be sure which one it is. There are also numbers (may be on a nameplate/tag) on the trans, but difficult to see when in the vehicle.

all should be the same except the tail shaft yoke you might have to swap that as well have to check it.

a np241 from a th400/4l80e would have the 32 spline that is need for a manual trans, one from a 700r4/4l60e is 27 spline input, in 94 the switch was changed and the cam to activate the switch was changed so if you get a 94 np241 you then will need to wire in a 94 switch into the older harness
