If your looking for the Intake Air Temp/Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor (IAT/MAP)(2003 model year and up) It is on the top of the intake manifold, just to the left of the #3 injector fuel line. There are 2 small Torx screws holding it.

Yes. That is exactly it. The Air Intake Temp Sensor is built into the Mass Air Flow Sensor on the Air Filter Box. Below is a picture...
I personally have not connected one of these Chips to a Tahoe...What I can provide you with, is the Connector Diagram so you know exactly what Wires you need to Splice in to. See below...
I hope this helps you. If you have any more questions or need any more diagrams, please don't hesisitate to ask...Thanks again, JShreader.

It is small and round (2 wire connector) and located either in the flexiable air intake hose to the engine or in the engine air filter housing.

the iat sensor is part of the mass air flow sensor, its build inside maf sensor.you will have to replace mass air flow sensor to replace intake air temp sensor, make sure connection at maf sensor is good if so replace maf sensor, good luck.
