Question about 2001 Kia Optima
This actually sounds like it off track. Take the door apart and look to see if the window is on track, if its not pop it back in to place and be done with it. 9 times out of 10 its just off track. Most dealers will tell you it needs a new regulaor just to get you to buy new parts and tell you it will take 2-3 hours to fix when in all actuality it will take them 20 mins to take door frame off and pop the window back into place. I would look at this before looking into a new regulator.

Ya need a new window regulator
Simple fix ... just takes time and some mechanical ability
If you have neither it's a shop fix for like 65 + parts
