I only have front brakes on a 1982 GMC 1500..I get no fluid pressure to the rear. Is there a reset on the proportioning valve?

There is no reset on them. What will work sometimes is to completely remove the brake light switch assembly from the valve and slowly push and release your brake pedal a few times. Then reinsert your brake light switch. If this doesn't work you will have to replace the proportioning valve. New price will likely scare you so head for the scrapyard.

How to reset the proportioning valve in brake master cylinder for 1989 Ford F150?

to reset the proportioning valve try bleeding the master by applying pressure and slowly opening one line at the master until the valve centres. you may have to do the same with the other line to get it to centre, sometimes you have to hit the area where the valve is as it may be stuck to get it to move.

My brakes are not working correctly, the front left and rear right are not working at all. Whats wrong with it??

Your proportioning valve is likely stuck to one side. Was there a break in the line recently? That is usually the cause of this condition. To reset the valve, try opening the right front bleeder and collapsing the left front caliper piston back into the caliper. This will put back pressure on the valve. Then try normal bleeding process. If this doesn't work, you may need to replace the proportioning valve. The book says your valve is below the master cylinder. If you need more instructions or have questions, please get back to me.

Where is the proportioning valve on a 2000 chev blazer and can it be reset

Proportioning valve for the brakes? rear brakes? rear brakes are located on the rear end, for all brakes(front to rear proportion) is usually part of or under the master cylinder, and if either are bad then you need a new one, there is no resetting them

No brake fluid flow to right rear brake

the stratus is know for clasped rear brake hoses .This stops the flow off brake fluid. try opening the brake lines at the master cylinder that go to the rear.pump up brakes first! if you got fluid than check the brake line if this is rear disc brakes on the line at the rear will be a built in proportioning valve.if drum loosen rubber hose line before the rubber part to see if you have fluid. If you do replace the brake hose! On you 74 challenger by the way i love dodge! any way on the valve there is a small button on the front of the proportioning valve that pops out it needs to be tap in lightly. also hit the brake peddel kind of hard a couple off times if that doesn't work. thanks for your question

p.s that hex bar on the is a junction not a proportioning valve .
