What is the color code of a 1993 Lincoln Continental digital instrument cluster harness(wiring)?

digital part of dash ???? Instrument cluster , gauges etc.... Have the instrument cluster checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's , yes the instrument cluster an the BCM - body control module (GEM)

Principles of Operation
The instrument cluster is a hybrid electronic instrument cluster (HEC). The instrument cluster gauges, warning indicators, and message center displays are either controlled and driven directly through hardwired circuitry, or the information is requested and received through the standard corporate protocol (SCP). The instrument cluster has self-test diagnostics capabilities using the diagnostic tool.

The factory doesn't publish diagrams for the cluster internals, just what it connects to. Sorry.

you can pop out the dash moldings unscrew the cluster disconnect the transmission selector needle now drop the steering column so you can get the cluster out the bulbs are in twist off black holders in the back of the dash cluster do yourself a favor change them all assembly is the reverse of removal good luck LATER MAN!

Do you mean the dash lights or everything (incl. all instruments)?

On the 1985 Continental, you must remove the lower dash knee bolster under the steering wheel to get to the shif column end of the cable.Then disconnect the cable from the lower side of the column. The cable will then come up and out with the instrument cluster.

you will need a diagnostic determination whether or not it is the Instrument Panel or the fuel sending unit itsself

fuel level sensor but rare problem if u have other problems with cluster bad ground
due to dirt.wiring is around fire wall a good day wd40 & wirebrush
u will dicover things will be working beater & some things that wernt working is now working

Having the same problem with my 2001 Merc Cougar, When does it black out? While reving or randomly? Mine is while heavy accelerating. Could be over voltage at the charging system (alternator or regulator) or internal in the cluster. Get the alternator and batt tested first, ask for a load test, then try the cluster next.
