There are (3) phillips head screws to take out. One behind the door opening handle, another one below the armrest handle, and one behind the round reflector at the bottom corner. The other clips holding the panel on are the nylon push in types that look like screws. Best if you get one of those flat tools with a notch or vee instead of just using a screwdriver. Mine appeared to have had another screw behind the window & lock switches but the screw was gone. the previous owner broke the window and had it replaced so I suspect the mechanic forgot to put that screw back in. Don't forget to disconnect the wires from the window switch and lock when you get the panel loose.

There is a screw behind the door pull. Then after sliding the controls out of the door that run the windows, there is another screw inside the panel. Then you pop the panel loose from the bottom. Hope that helps.

2004 Pontiac Grand Am power door locks keep locking and unlocking while im driving. How do i check the relay?

The relays are in the Left side Instrument panel fuse block. The easiest way to check it is to swap with a known good relay. I would check the ground point to make sure it isn't loose. The info I see says the Ground is G201. That is number 2 in the picture. The other picture shows the door lock schematic and you see at the lower left the ground point of G201

I need to replace the Heater Blend Door Actuator in my wife's 2004 Pontiac Grand Am SE. Were is it and how hard is it to replace.

its hard job if first time doing mechanic work.problem could be the temperature control switch also.to get to the air door actutor you have to remove instrument panel cluster and remove lower right sound insulator and lower left sound insulator panel and knee bolster from below the steering column.first you need to disable airbag in the steering wheel and passenger side dash before working around the dash area.to disable airbags turn off radio disconnect negative battery cable wait 20 minutes let airbag discharge first before attempting to work around the dash or instrument cluster. like i said hard job if first time you have remove a lot of things to get to the heater core housing where air door actutor and defrost actutator locations.

Im not getting any heat to come out my vents, going to be in 20's....cold ride! Should be a recall on this 2004 pontiac grande prix. What can I do?

If engine temp is warm, then either your heater core is clogged and needs flushed or your warm /cold door motor is not working properly(located under the dash). if you engine si not getting warm you have a bad thermostat.

Where is front drivers door jamb switch

It's probably inside the door, built into the latch mechanism. I don't know for sure though.

Having major difficulty removing the left rear door panel on a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am.....I have removed 4 screws yet can't get the panel to budge and I don't see any more screws....what can I do to get...

hi, if you have removed all the screws then it will pull off what is holding it is plastic clips that are attatched to the door card these are then pushed into the metal on the actual door so start from the bottom and work around until you feel where there is something holding it on this will be one of these plastic clips they will run along the bottom and along either side they are pretty tight but will pop off with bit of persuasion.

Are you sure the screws are out of the sides and bottom of the door card and also where the door handle is on the inside have you removed all the plastic blanks that are on the door handle that you pull to shut the door their might be to plastic blanks one either end of the handle you pull to shut the door you will need fine screwdriver to lift the blanks off.

How to remove door panel off 2004 pontiac grand prix

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. Then pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything.

Replace drivers side mirror and removal of the door pannel on a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix

They have kits you can buy to remove the door panel but when you do it, be careful and go slow, make sure not to break off the clips on the door panel otherwise it wont fit right when you want to put it back in. im not so sure about the mirror though.

Driver side mirror 2004 Pontiac Grand Am

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door
