Question about 2004 Honda CR-V
How to wire for towing
If you can't get a wiring diagram... locate the wiring harness for the lights.... use a multimeter to test the wires....even one of those ice pick type of testers with the light on it will do
have someone step on the brake.... whichever wire has voltage is the brakes. next have them turn on the right turn signal... check for voltage on the other wires... it will of course be off on . do the other side the same way. all you have left is the wire for your running lights.... turn on the parking lights for that. also if i remember right there is a connector already there for the towing package. even if you didn't order that with the vehicle it's likely there. check in the side panel where you store the jack.

There is a plug in wiring harness available for this vehicle. It's made by Draw-Tite, and it's part #118336. You can view the part here.
Also, if you would like to view the installation instructions you can view them here.
This will give you a 4-Flat plug connection.
Hope this helps!
