Re: mazda mx5 abs light
Most likely it is just a blown bulb.. and opening up a dash on the newer vehicles is a very tedius job... so unless you have like a full week end and another source of transportation i hate to admit but i would turn it over to a pro to do..lol... i have to admit it is kinda funny.. turn your car over to a shop... to change a light bulb...most likely a #194 bulb...

Hi, removing the battery wont solve your problem the only solution you have is either that their is actually a problem that will need looking at witch is unlikely as you never had the problem before so the next option would be that you need it resetting this has to be done at main dealers as their is no other way of resetting this warning light. They shouldnt charge to much for resetting this that is unless their is actually a problem and the battery going flat has reset the warning system then actually finding the problem.
It could be that your brake pads are low and need replacing or it could even be that one of the abs sensors have failed due to the battery going flat causing the power to fluctuate as this can cause sensors to fail. The only way of really knowing is by letting the main dealer do a diagnostic check on your vehicle.
The problem is you could replace parts and still have the light on so the diagnostic check will rule out any major problems.
So im sorry their is no easy fix for resetting this warning light but at least taking it to the main dealers will rule out any faults with the car ensuring your safety and others.
Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
