Most likely it is just a blown bulb.. and opening up a dash on the newer vehicles is a very tedius job... so unless you have like a full week end and another source of transportation i hate to admit but i would turn it over to a pro to do..lol... i have to admit it is kinda funny.. turn your car over to a shop... to change a light bulb...most likely a #194 bulb...

Mazda mx5 will not start after flat battery battery now charged but soon as turn the ignition on the alarm goes off and will not start

Hi,
You need to reset the alarm. If it's a Stock/original alarm, read the Owner's Manual or call a Mazda dealer. If it's not stock, you'll need to ID the alarm and look online for the instructions.

If your keyless remote fob has a Mazda label on it and is the ONLY one you have it's probably stock; if it's not a labeled Mazda, look for another name to find the alarm type.

Mazda MX5 Year 2000, started today sounds like a tractor, very little power. No smell, sound coming from engine area, managed to get 30mph didn't try any harder. What could be the problem please?

You may have lost (went bad) a coil pack which feeds ignition fire to two of the four cylinders. Leaving it to run only on 2 will sound terrible, run rough, and have little power.

Hi My mx5 is a 1999 1.8i model. Recently my battery went flat (door left slightly open all weekend) and so needed to jump start it. Since then the ABS light stays on (Suggesting ABS it not working). It did...

Hi, removing the battery wont solve your problem the only solution you have is either that their is actually a problem that will need looking at witch is unlikely as you never had the problem before so the next option would be that you need it resetting this has to be done at main dealers as their is no other way of resetting this warning light.
They shouldnt charge to much for resetting this that is unless their is actually a problem and the battery going flat has reset the warning system then actually finding the problem.

It could be that your brake pads are low and need replacing or it could even be that one of the abs sensors have failed due to the battery going flat causing the power to fluctuate as this can cause sensors to fail. The only way of really knowing is by letting the main dealer do a diagnostic check on your vehicle.

The problem is you could replace parts and still have the light on so the diagnostic check will rule out any major problems.

So im sorry their is no easy fix for resetting this warning light but at least taking it to the main dealers will rule out any faults with the car ensuring your safety and others.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
