Wiring an after market Sony CD Player into a 89 Jeep Cherokee Laredo

I have recently bought a sony cd player for me jeep and when installing it, I ran across a problem. I have the power to it, but for some reason, I am unable to get it to sned audio to the speakers. Please help...

    There isnt an amp in the car though. It was working fine until I put the new player in. Do you know by any chance, what the colors of the wires are for the speakers and which colors they go to.

There might be a amp in the car , so you need to make sure the blue wire off the sony radio is hook up the the remote wire to the stock amp

    when you installed the sony radio did you use a wire harness adapter or just cut the wires?

    take a picture of it close-up shot so i can see the wire . I can get you the color code

I have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and the cd player wont play or eject the cd. doesn't even register that one is in there

its bad, check fuses. if the fuses are good the head end player
needs service.
best is to upgrade to media center with USB and use only dirt cheap
FLASH memory for music, CDs are dying,
we rip;ours to mp3 and parked the CDs in the attic for eternity;.

My CD Player in my 2006 Jeep factory stereo acts like there is a CD in it and will not allow me to put one in. There is nothing in the CD Player how do I fix it?

unplug it and plug it back it sometimes that will reset it if not its cheaper to replace the unit with a after market system

Replace stock cd player from one brand of car to another.

Check at stereo sales/install place, or most auto parts stores have them now, and ask for adapter for wiring & plate for mounting in what ever vehicle you decide. It makes things a lot neater, & easier. Take player in with you to make sure, mounting plate is correct.

go to crutchfield and get a wire harness. they will have a harness from your radio to your vehicle and no splicing.

There could be a fusible link under the hood off the starter relay that is burnt out.
