Hi.If you had to reset the anti-theft system ,it is because it has a problem. Most likely the problem will be the pass-key sensor that is located on the ignition key cylinder. You will have to replace the entire key cylinder because the pass-key sensor is not sold seperatly. Then you have to reprogram the anti-theft module. To do this, you need to take it to the dealer.Good luck.

You have to cut the thin yellow wire in the ignition wire pack that will disable the theft system and leave the lanti theft light on on your dash board but will solve the not starting problem

this is one way to reset it :
first make sure the battery is fully charged , then do the following:
key in the ignition but do not crank the motor, just leave it at the
ignition mode for ten minutes ,then turn it off POSITION for 5 seconds then REPEAT again 2 more times. at the 3 rd time youre gonna notice the ANTI THEFT light on dash to blink. when doing the last step , remove key , inserted again and turn on motor , good luck , AJ

SOURCE: THEFT SYSTEM WONT START
If the switch is broken,it will not start and stay running, just start and quit everytime you try. There is a device in the switch that if broken the E.C.M(computer)will not pick up a signal from it.You will need to have it repaired before it will run again.

turn car on engine off, let set to on for 10 min.after 10 min, turn off for 15 seconds then try and start car. this should reset theft system. if not try again.

this does not sound like an antitheft problem. the SKIS systems in the jeeps will allow the truck to start, but it will turn off again after 5 seconds.
FYI if your jeep key is gray, it has the SKIS system. if it is a black key, it does not.
have you already done diagnostics for a no start? if you are lacking fuel or spark, you need to look elsewhere for the problem if it does not start at all. good luck!
