Need to know where I can get a spare tire crank to lower spare tire these are usually located on top of the radiator attached by two clips in engine compartment. Who would sell them?

Since the spare is mounted under the rear of the car, Its not easy...you have to assemble the long crank rod out of its two pieces, then feed the rod through the hole in the top of the rear bumper and lock it into the mechanism that holds the tire in place. Once the crank rod is locked in, lower the tire towards the ground. Once the tire is low enough, you can crawl under the car and release the tire from its mount. The hardest part is locking the crank rod into the spare tire mechanism through the hole in the bumper.
in my burb, the jack and all the components are in a compartment located between the 3rd row seat cupholder and the mesh/container compartment. it's kind of deep and it has a small indednt for a handle, lift that and it should pop right out, then you can undo the nut to release the jack and wheel chokes. then follow konkomados's steps to lower your spare at the back
Typically all Suburban spare tires are mounted on an under-car carrier. This carrier is usually accessed through a covered key way at the rear bumper near the license plate step. The jack that comes with the Suburban also has a crank rod that is used to raise and lower the jack. The other end of the rod is designed to access the key way to crank the spare tire lift up or down. Cranking the lift in a counterclockwise rotation will lower the spare tire.
These are the instructions for a 4 cylinder motor.
Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
CAUTION
Do
NOT remove the cylinder block or the radiator draincock with the system
hot and under pressure because serious burns from coolant can occur.
Drain the cooling system.
Remove the hose clamps and hoses from the radiator. Remove the coolant reserve system tank-to-filler neck tube.
Remove the automatic transaxle hoses, if so equipped.
Remove the fan and fan support assembly by disconnecting the fan motor electrical wiring.
Remove
the fan shroud retaining clips, located on the top and bottom of the
shroud for most of the vehicles (the Dynasty has them only on the top).
Lift
the shroud up and out of the bottom shroud attachment clips separating
the shroud from the radiator. Avoid damaging the fan.
Remove the upper radiator mounting screws. Disconnect the engine block heater wire, if so equipped.
Remove
the air conditioning condenser attaching screws located at the top
front of the radiator, if the vehicle is equipped with air conditioning.
Lift the radiator free of the engine compartment.
Care should be taken to NOT damage the radiator cooling fins or water tubes during removal or installation. To install:
Slide the radiator down into position behind the radiator support.
Attach
the air conditioning condenser to the radiator, if so equipped, with a
force of approximately 10 lbs. (44 N) to seat the radiator assembly
lower rubber isolators in the mount holes provided.
Tighten the radiator mounting screws to 108 inch lbs. (12 Nm).
Connect the automatic transaxle hoses, if so equipped. Tighten the hose clamps to 35 inch lbs. (4 Nm).
Slide the fan shroud, fan and motor down into the clips on the lower radiator flange. Install new shroud retaining clips.
Install the upper and lower radiator hoses (including the coolant reserve hose).
Plug the fan motor electrical connection and attach the negative (-) battery cable.
Fill the cooling system with coolant (refer to Section 1 for more details).
Operate
the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature. Check the
cooling system and automatic transaxle (if equipped) for the correct
fluid levels. Also check for coolant leaks.
Here are the instruction for a 6 cylinder engine.
6-Cylinder Engines
Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
CAUTION
Do
NOT remove the cylinder block or the radiator draincock with the system
hot and under pressure because serious burns from coolant can occur.
Drain the cooling system.
Remove the hose clamps and hoses from the radiator. Remove the coolant reserve system tank to filler neck tube.
Remove the automatic transaxle hoses, if so equipped.
Remove the fan and fan support assembly by disconnecting the fan motor electrical wiring.
Remove
the fan shroud retaining clips, located on the top and bottom of the
shroud for most of the vehicles (the New Yorker, Dynasty, Fifth Ave.,
and Imperial have them only on the top).
Lift
the shroud up and out of the bottom shroud attachment clips separating
the shroud from the radiator.
Care should be taken NOT to damage the radiator cooling fins or water tubes during removal or installation. To install:
Slide the radiator down into position behind the radiator support.
Attach
the air conditioning condenser to the radiator, if so equipped, with a
force of approximately 10 lbs. (44 N) to seat the radiator assembly
lower rubber isolators in the mount holes provided.
Tighten the radiator mounting screws to 9 ft. lbs.
Check the
cooling system and automatic transaxle for the correct fluid levels.
Also check for coolant leaks.

Are you using the rod and turning the crank to lower the spare tire? There will be a little hold along the trim of the trunk opening by the top of the bumper. You need to insert the rod into this hole and crank it to lower the tire
It is the crank handle for the spare tire. Yours should be under the hood-you will see some clips on top of the radiator shroud. Part of it goes across the top and the balance goes parallel to the fender.
Should be some in Salvage yards real cheap.
Ford's spares are held in place with a cable that's loosened by inserting the jack handle into the cable crank. it's located below the door sill of the rear door. Look for a hole that the jack handle can be inserted and turn counterclockwise. The tire should lower down for you.
Hello, when you go to let it down can you turn the rod that you are useing to let the tire down? If not then the cable or gear box is rusted solid. That is what usually happens because of the location and lack of use. If it doesn't turn you will have to cut the cable or cradle that holds the tire up. If the rod does turn your spare tire carrier might have a safety catch. The catch can usually be released by putting a jack under the spare tire rim and raising it up. While your doing that turn the rod to crank up the tire. That should release the saftey catch and allow the tire to be lowered down.
