You need to replace the blower risistor. it should be located very close to the blower motor. it usually has 3 wires that are in a row and one wire a little to the left of it but located on the same oval fixture. go to the auto parts place and buy one . this way you will no exactly what it looks like so you do not have to spend a lot of time and money researching it.

What is an AC diode fuse? I have a 2006 AWD Pontiac Torrent the AC/Heat doesn't work, I've changed all fuses for the HAVAC and still no AC/Heat blowing out of vents. What could be the problem?

Could be a number of thing's ! Testing the electrical circuit is the way to find out what's wrong . Using a wiring diagram and a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter . Videos on youtube showing how to test it ! Without testing i would only be guessing . Does it work in high speed ? In high speed it by-passes the resistor . If it doesn't work in any speed more then likely the blower motor is the problem !
Air Speed
The HVAC control assembly applies ground to the blower motor control circuit that corresponds to the selected blower speed. The resistors and the blower motor are in a series circuit. The following list represents the number of resistors in series with the blower motor per particular speed request:
• Low speed--3 resistors
• Medium 1 speed--2 resistors
• Medium 2 speed--1 resistor
When the operator requests High speed, the HVAC control assembly applies ground directly to the blower motor through the high blower motor control circuit. The resistor card has a fusible link which, if blown, will require that the card be replaced.

2006 Chevy HHR I fixed the butyl patch, replaced the resistor and the blower motor but it only works on High and Low. Any idea why?

Check the switch. Many times the contacts get gummy and can cause issues. You will need to disassemble the switch, not that hard to do. Use a pencil eraser or some brake cleaner on a rag.

ON a 2006 HHR LT is there separate fuses for the three fan speeds. The high fan speed is working but th low and medium speeds are not. Where are the fuses located

the fan speeds work through a blower motor resistor and not separate fuses for each speed. when these resistors go bad they are designed to work on high speed only.

A/c only works on high

The blower motor resistor located by the blower motor has probably gone bad.If no speeds other then high work this is usually the cause.

Ac blower motor

it should be located in the heater/evap case under the dash by the glove box, usually the pigtail from the blower motor itself leads the the resistor pack.
