I changed the battery in my Buick park ave. and now the gas gauge needle is under the pin so it can't go up. How do I get it on the other side of the pin?

I followed this advice and fixed mine with a couple of magnets.

Use a magnet. MAKE SURE IGNITION IS OFF! A good strong magnet will do the trick. I had to use both the "pull" and the "push" of the magnet, but had it fixed in about ten seconds.

I had same problem, take a small drill bit and slowly drill into the dash window by the needle then take a toothpick and pop it over the pin. Haven't had any problem since.

I would suspect that there is a loose connection or the fuse for the instrument cluster is no good i would start there.

The right turn signal on my 1997 buick park avenue will not work. all other parts of this multi switch work

Does the front and rear light on the right side come on when you activate the switch ?
If a light is out the system won't flash.
If one side comes on and the other does not, the problem is usually in the turn signal switch.

The injectors get power from a relay and are grounded by the ECM.
You need to know if they are getting power first.

Why won't my key work on my 1997 park avenue doors

The problem could be that the door lock itself doesn't work. It could also have some electrical or linkage problems if it locks by itself. I suggest taking it to a locksmith or a shop that deals with these types of problems.

Gas gauge has stopped working on 1998 Buick Park avenue, could it be a fuse?

If it was the sending unit, it is accessible through the trunk floor. A problem I have with my Park Ave gas gauge is when I get a dead battery and try to start the car, the needles will twitch and it sends my gas gauge needle to the far right side. This causes it to rotate/fall under the proper gauge are and come up under the rest pin on the left side. When that happens, I have to pull my whole instrument cluster and rotate it around so the needle goes back up to the top.
Check where you needle is the next time you turn the key to run. If its under the little rest pin at the empty position of the gas gauge, then this should be the fix.

1998 Buick Park Ave Speedometer stopped working.

Found the problem with the speedometer on my Buick. When you use the magnet to fix the gas gauge, will can and may affect your speedo. So use the magnet trick on it as well. Appears that the manufacturer didn't think about the needles being able to swing past the magnet they have set up in the gauges. Should have put a stop pin on the gauges.

1997 buick park avenue ultra

Hi. I also have a 1997 Ultra. I Had the same problem recently and I took the car to the dealer where they found out it was the gas pump, that is located inside the gas tank. Problem fixed. I also had an intermitent problem where the car would stall while driving, and would not start, also it was fixed by the dealer. Hope that helps.

P.S. Try to avoid just any shop with the this car. I had a lot of problems with mechanics that where not properly trained to work on the Ultra. In the end you are better of taking it to the dealer.
