Problem for Saab 1988 900

Desperate! When applying my brakes the lights shut off and the turn signals turn on continuously. However, the light in the rear window does work.
I have spent many days in the rain tracking wires and have found nothing irregular about the segments that I could get to with out any tools.

I had an 88 900 Turbo Convertible with the same problem. I changed out the turn signal and hazard "clickers" and it fixed my problem. Not sure if it would help you, but it's cheap to try.

make sure to run a ground cable from the negative batterie conector to the car body,
