Stalls while driving

We replaced the plugs in our 2001 Grand Cherokee. Ever since it will stall when you put on the brakes.

Its seems when I am braking that it idles a bit high or something and then it loses all power and dies. It usually will start back up, but it did not want to start the last time it died.

My son says it seems to idle high and then loses all power and dies. We did not reset the computer when we did the tune-up. Could this be causing the problem? How do we reset the computer?

It doesn't come up with any codes. It just says done. Maybe I did it wrong, but that is all it says.

Honestly, I don't know what the problem is off hand. I can tell you what to check though. Did you gap your spark plugs? Are you SURE your put the correct wires on the correct plugs? Make sure the wires aren't up agianst your exhaust and that they are securely on the plugs and coil. When you removed the wires, was there one that was stuck on really bad and was tough to get off?

dose there seem to be a loss of power? a rough idling or while accelarator problem?

ok reset the computer disconect the bat positive. wait 3 minutes then reconect. you might wan to replace the iac "idle air controler" its on the side of the intake. they often go bad. bad battery conections cause the computer to go into relearn everytime it starts. could take up to 20 miles of stop and go traffic to relearn........... let me know what happens

2001 grand vitara runs good but stalls every time I hit the brake, I had a corroded positive terminal I replaced it and now I have this problem

stalls, there are 50 ways to stall a motor,
1: engine lost compression. (can do that hot, or over heated)
2: lost spark.
3: bad fueling. (too much or too little)
4: isc sticks (can your right foot avoid the stall easy, bingo ISC.
5: lost electric power to EFI system. lost 12v, (even a loose fuse)

sounds to me #5 based just on the brake deal.

2001 jeep grand cherokee stalls as i coast to a stop, jest had a tuneup

I would check the fuel pressure and take a look at the throttle position sensor and the idle air control valve.
Most of the time stalling on take-off is a lack of fuel, and stalling at idle is a lack of air going thru the control valve or the throttle body.

Engine stalls in 2001 jeep grand Cherokee, the fuel pump works, new fuel filter. What could be the prob?

If your vehicle stall and restart then your problem will reside with the idle air control, a good throttle body will remove the carbon build up,
