Question about 1994 Dodge Dakota Club Cab
Gas does not show fuel tank level. Some times it registers partial fuel, sometimes it bounces up and down on the dial. When the problem first began on a fill up the tank level showed full as it went down it got flakey around a half tank. I took it into the dealership under warranty and they claim to have repaired the problem, but a week later it started again. Is there a known solution for the problem?
I had the exact same problem. It ended up being the float inside the tank. The float was around $90 but 2-3 weeks later I ended up replacing the whole fuel unit which came with a new float attached. I should have just replaced the whole unit when I replaced the float. If you still have the original fuel unit, you might want to consider just replacing the whole unit. I hope you find this helpfull.
