Check fuel pressure. Could be fuel pump witch is in the tank and replace the TFI module located under the distributor.

SOURCE: engine turns over but will not start

Check the distributor and timing order to make sure it has not jumped at all from a timing malfunction.

SOURCE: My 94 Ford Taurus wont start! turns over but acts

the automatic gas shut off switch is located in the trunk tucked up under the wheel well I think on the left side for that car. you need to feel around for it and press a button on it to reset it.

SOURCE: i am not getting power to my fuel pump

on a lot of ford products there is a switch that goes from the fuel pump to the inside of one of the bedsides.
what this is, is a shock switch that turns the fuel pump off if it absorbs a hit.
its a really dumb safety feature but its effective.
there is a red button on it that u have to press to make it active again.
sometimes they just trip for no reason.

I ran my 2006 chevy uplander out of gas now it wont start even using starter fluid

after putting some gas in your tank, step on the gas pedal repeatedly (step to it fully), then while pressing, start your car. the fuel was completely drained from your system thus there are no fuel to burn in able for your car to start.

pressing the gas pedal repeatedly (around 10 times will do) will put some fuel in your combustion chamber, so the car will now have something to burn if you will start the car

Replaced motor, 1st no oil pressure to guage, but motor seems to have pressure,2nd,replaced radiator, drove 6 miles round trip town and back, flushed radiator, then started and ran motor for couple min,...

As to the oil pressure check your oil pres. sending unit for power with a circuit tester while vehicle is running replace if necessary. First check the fuse for the fuel pump if it has powere on both sides when key is on check the fp relay (when you power a relay if you listen closely or put your finger on it you can normally hear or feel it click which is the equivalent of turning on a standard light switch) if none occur replace or if you can access your fuel pump check for power with key on if it has power but does nothing the pump needs to be replaced

Put new fuel pump on but wont start if u spray gas in motor it will start. what is the problem.

Hi, can you hear the fuel pump come on when you turn the key on? If not, try replacing the fuel pump relay or swapping it with the horn or A/C relay. Please let me know if you have questions and thanks for using FixYa.

Acts like it is out of fuel, I replaced the fuel filter and it ran good for a few miles then sputterd and died again and now wont start

Sound like your fuel pump went out. Turn the key to on postion and see if you can hear it turn on in the gas tank. It will be a whinning sound in the gas tank. If nothing it is you fuel pump need to be replaced.

2000 silverado wont start

one good way to check that the fuel pump is running to listen. take the gas cap of and put you ear the the fuel tank fill neck. have a freind turn the key from the off position to the on position, but do not start the crank the engine over. you should hear a huming or wizzing sound for a few short moments. if you hear that sound the pump is running and more thatn likely pumping fuel.

Ran out of gas wont start now

if its petrol engine bang bottom of fuel tank while some one else cranks vehicle over if it starts good just pump jammed if it dont buzz to life and you cant hear fuel pump buzzing ceck for power to it if thats there replace pump. running out of fuel kills electric fuel pumps internally in petrol tanks.

if its diesel you must bleed fuel system taking extreme care if you un do lines some very high pressure

Jeep wont start..it turns over but i dont hear the fuel injection

It sounds like the fuel pump try banging on the fuel tank with a block of wood while someone else attempts to start it. if it starts after a couple hits its the pump if still nothing check the relay under the hood

1998 Jeep Cherokee won't start?

I need to confirm some information. The engine is rotating, just not starting, right? When you put the key into the "on" position, do you hear the fuel pump prime itself? You'll hear a hum sound for a couple of seconds. If not, spray some starting fluid into the throttle body and see if the engine starts. If it does start with the starting fluid, then shuts off again, the fuel pump or the fuel pump relay is bad. I'd change the relay first, if that doesn't help, the fuel pump is bad.
