Question about 2002 Chrysler 300M
After starting car...i put it in drive and it won't move, neither forward or reverse. Tried later and it worked. Left it for a while and tried it and AGAIN it wouldn't move.
Chrysler dealer doesn't have a clue what's wrong. Have had the car for four days now.

Most likely, your gas cap is the cause of the issue. A faulty gas cap will trigger the check engine light, even though your car appears to be running fine. After installing a new gas cap, go to your local AutoZone and have them reset your computer for free, which should eliminate your problem.

Is your gas cap tight? check it, these codes indicate a large leak in the fuel evaporative emission recovery system at the gas tank

I believe you need a new distributer. It may be a distributor (and often is), as the sensor is built into it, but first, just have a look at your caps, rotor, connections etc on and to the distributor as well as the timing. If it is the distributor, you could do it yourself! It's not hard, make sure you install it the correct way and connect the spark plug wires in the proper firing order. Good luck and hope this helps.

If the car still runs then the problem is not major but may develop into one if unchecked. The sensors in the engine may have detected problems and should be stored in its ECU. If you have a scanner have it connected to the diagnostics it should give you a clue on what to check out.
