your fuel injector is plugged. Replace it and see the difference. Good Luck!

Most likely, your gas cap is the cause of the issue. A faulty gas cap will trigger the check engine light, even though your car appears to be running fine. After installing a new gas cap, go to your local AutoZone and have them reset your computer for free, which should eliminate your problem.

I believe you need a new distributer. It may be a distributor (and often is), as the sensor is built into it, but first, just have a look at your caps, rotor, connections etc on and to the distributor as well as the timing. If it is the distributor, you could do it yourself! It's not hard, make sure you install it the correct way and connect the spark plug wires in the proper firing order.  Good luck and hope this helps.

If the car still runs then the problem is not major but may develop into one if unchecked. The sensors in the engine may have detected problems and should be stored in its ECU. If you have a scanner have it connected to the diagnostics it should give you a clue on what to check out.

Don't panic!! LOL Just take the vehicle to an autoparts store and have them use a scan tool to retrieve any fault code(s) stored in the computer. Most parts stores will do the scan at no charge. The code or codes will help note any problems or potential problems that the computer has identified. Sure hope this helped and best wishes.

check the accelerator position sensor. As for the rest The engine light is telling you that the CPU has found
sensor/s outside set parameters during the checking process. Have the fault codes read before wasting time and money guessing what has failed. Replace with
genuine items only as aftermarket units are not always compatible with the settings in the CPU.

Check engine light glowing always in tata indica car

The check engine light is because all check engine light codes are caused by components that affect emissions. It's not actually an engine problem, it's a problem with either your O2 sensor, MAF sensor, fuel/air ratio, pyrometer, or exhaust.

you can start with an OBDII code reader, which you can get for free at your local parts store. This will tell you what component is malfunctioning, and then you can decide if it's worth fixing or not. But rest assured, the oil leak has nothing to do with your check engine light.

The check engine light comes on when there's a problem with a sensor on your car. Take the car to any reputable repair shop and they can scan the computer and tell you what you need.

There are plenty reasons for the check engine to come, from fuel system malfunction to timing belt sensor, you need to get the car somehow to a garage and perform a diagnostics test, that will tell you what is wrong.

Any time of faulty sensor or circuit could cause this. The only way to tell why it is on is to have a code scan ran which many part stores will do for free. It will tell you what is wrong.

Check engine light always on and 4WD hi lo lights flash

Hi

The check engine light is on because ECM (Control Module) detected a fault with your car's system. ECM has self-testing capability. When the computer senses that there is a problem with some of the components it stores the correspondent trouble code(s) in its memory and lights up the "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light to tell you that there is a problem and your car needs to be looked at. You'll need to get the codes checked from a nearby dealer/mechanic. However, as you are facing surge issue, it can be due to bad plug, bad fuel injector or a bad egr valve.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Run into PepBoys, autozone or similar big auto parts stores & most will scan for trouble codes free of charge. Write down the code(s) they retrieve and if they can't tell you right then & there what's wrong, get back to us & we'll help.
