Question about 2002 Nissan Altima
Ok here we go try to follow me. I had a head light go out. When I went to replace it the grounding clip that holds the bulb and grounds it broke. so while the switch for the headlight was on I was trying to get the bulb to stay on cause with my hand on it I would make a good ground contact and the light would come on. After a few minutes of messing with it I noticed a spark and don't know exactly where it came from. But the bulb would no longer come on. I thought I broke the bulb so I went and bought another one. I installed it and also didnt work no matter what I did. I removed the driver headlight assembly and even though its not a form fit to the passenger side I plugged it in. All the lights come on but the low beam. same as the original assenbly. I went ahead and tried installing the passenger one on the driver side and it also didn't work. I believe I have 2 problems. Please help I can't afford to go to the dealer and get robbed.
When you got the spark chances are you shorted the receptacle for the bulb on the low side you should check the fuse for this . the drivers side low beam worked before so i would say you blew the fuse. on the passenger side check for broken ,frayed ,or loose wires in the light harness and the plugs them selves chances are you will find a short in them. please rate this solution
