You would have to check w/ your ins. co. If the tow was necessary due to an accident, probably covered. Do u have AAA? They will tow due to accident, or mechanical trouble. countrycurt0

If you have AAA the towing fee should be covered. in most insurances there is a deductable which then the towing fee would be part of a pro rated deductable. hope this helps.......please rate this

Is a 2001 hrv pre-drilled for towbar fitting? Also is there a fitting guide available?

if you want to fit the tow bar your self you should be aware that by fitting a tow bar it is a modification to the vehicle and requires a certified plate attached to the vehicle to cover insurance requirements and road worthy inspections
next most purpose built tow bars sold by auto shops will pick up existing holes in the sub frame mand you can get a harness that piggy backs onto lights on one side for the trailer
Best talk with a tow bar retailer/ fitter as they can certify the bar and the fitment and have a harness in stock

How to Keep Money in Your Pocket When your Vehicle Breaks Down

Greetings,
Have you ever been stuck somewhere between point A and point B stranded , perhaps on a trip you went into a store to use the restroom or buy a soda or the like, shut off the engine which was running fine and came out put the ignition key in the ignition, turned to start and......nothing......hit the battery cables with a wrench hoping it was a loose connection...slapped the gear shift handle in all different selections while holding the key in the crank position in hopes to "fire it up" and still....nothing.
Well what is your next course of action provided a repair shop is too far away or you have no idea where you even are, you call a tow truck, the first question they ask you is your name, your phone number and location with vehicle description, then they may say we are going to send out a flatbed tow truck to pick you up as they don't want to damage the under carriage of your vehicle by using a typical winch/bar type tow vehicle.
You agree but what you may not realize is a flatbed truck costs a bit more to operate then a smaller cable & winch/tow bar type tow truck.
So how can you avoid and prepare for the future, spending all this money if this would ever happen again... you would first ask your car insurance broker how much money is it to add tow insurance on the vehicle, you may be amazed to find it is only dollars per month if it is offered, another way to protect is to get the TripleAAA plan, again itb is a low cost yearly plan that offers a few different plans to suit your needs and your wallet.
If you have a family member that has a triple AA card in good standing ask if you can borrow their card, most always the Triple AAA tow driver will take the card and ask you to scribble a signature on the tow form before he hooks up your vehicle, they only want to be payed for service rendered,
but when you call for the tow ask them over the phone what their policy on this is.
Also you can go online and search out a policy that is perfect for you and perhaps multi vehicles in the same household policies, here is a webpage I found online for an example of what you will be looking at and there are many many more.

What price to charge per km for Mazda 1200cc sedan petrol?

there is no set charge , but you have to take into the costs of services , fuel, oil tyres, registration , insurance car hire fees ( cost of a fine if not a hire vehicle ), loss of a vehicle in the case of an accident while being used as a hire vehicle as the insurance will not cover it , your time, vehicle depreciation ( wearing out and needing replacement)
you can charge what you like but a good point would be around 60% of the taxi fee for the same trip

Can i tow my car from a uhaul truck saftey

If you mean; Can I tow a U Haul trailer with my car, then check the towing capacity of your model from the owners handbook. The general rule is not more than 2/3rds the vehicle weight for the trailer providing the trailer is braked. ie, If the car is 2000lbs then the all up trailer shouldn't be more than around 1200.
Alternatively, if you mean towing a car behind a rented truck then you will need the appropriate approved tow dolly and the renters permission. Make sure you are fully insured and competent to carry out such a task.

RAN OVER SOMETHING IN NISSAN ALTIMA, IMMEDIATLEY WE KNEW IT MESSED UP THE RADIATOR, IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE WE SHOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT? OVERHEATED OBVIOUSLY, MAKING NOISE, THEN JUST STOPPED WORKING

Insurance SHOULD cover this. Have a shop check it out for damage. Insurance may pay for towing also. There could be damage to the Air Conditioning components and fans as well as other damage.

How do I tow a vehicle?

You should have a tow bar on your car for a start. Use a fixed length bar attached to the front suspension or tow points of the towed car. Any thing else is illegal and will cause damage to the rear of your car. Best use a tow truck or a tilt tray truck as it is all covered by insurance that way

I just put a small wood wedge in the top of the door, slid a wire hanger in and popped the lock. the alarm did go off but I was able to pull the door handle as I popped the lock and open the door. Stuck the keys in the ignition and turned it over and the alarm was deactivated...easy to do with minimal tools.

Engine won't start

It still should be under the manufacture warranty of 3 year 36,000 miles. Which is bumper to bumper coverage. The engine and drivetrain are covered under 6 year 60,000 miles.

Your best bet is to have it towed to the dealer. Warranty will also pay for your towing fees.
