Replacing heater core on 1993 Plymouth acclaim

replacing a heater core is never easy on a car unless you can access it from under the hood. More than likely you will have to remove it from inside the vehicle under the dash on the passenger side. Removing it and installing it is the easy part. Getting to it is the hard part. It is just a matter of removing enough dash parts to gain access to the core. That is the hard part. This is why this is a very expensive repair as the majority of the cost is labor. The core itself it relatively inexpensive. Look under the hood and follow the heater hoses to the firewall, you will then know the location of the core and know if it can be removed from under the hood. If you have to remove it from inside the vehicle just slowly start taking parts of the dash off and go very slow. Take photos if necessary in order to remember how to put it all back together. Some dash panels will snap off and some will be held in place with a screw or clip. Be very careful and do not break and parts. You can do this if you take you time

Heater core replacement

Check under the dash, there you find a panel , remove it. There you find the heater core, first remove the hoses connected then remove screws.

Remove heater core on corsica

Heater core on a corsica is tricky. It's under the dash in the middle. First disconnect hoses under the hood. Then remove plastic panel 8mm bolts under dash. Remove bolts holding the clips that hold the heater core in place. To remove the heater core you must peel back the carpet or you will not be able to get it out and a new one in. Once it's out, put new one in the opposite way. The carpet has to be peeled back and heater core manouvered to get it in and out. Good luck

How do i install a heater coil

heater core is correct dignosis. is it leaking in floorboard? it's located on passenger side under dash, the glove box will need to be removed, that will expose the heater core box. you'll need to disassemble the box that contains the heater core. then go under hood on passenger side and remove the 2 hoses that connect to it under hood. after thats done go under dash and pull heater core out, will look like a very small radiator.if you are not mechanically inclined i suggest you get estimates, this is a very painstaking progress that sounds easy but not.but if your persistent i suggest you purchase an automotuve book, say at autozone or advance auto and follow step by step instructions, fortunatlly yours isn't that hard to do. most cars need the entire dash removed. i'll be online most of day incase you have problems. hope this helps!!!

I have a 1995 chevy silverado 1500. the heater hose bursed. do I have to remove the dash board to repair it?

The heater hose connects to the heater core through the fire wall, under the hood, remove heater hose clamp at fire wall under the hood, remove clamp at other end, install new heater hose, no you don't have to do any thing under the dash.

Have to replace the heater core on a 1997 Pot.

This is a fairly easy fix. Disconnect the heater hoses under the hood. Go to passenger side under the dash remove the lower panel from the dash to access the heater box. Unplug any and all connections on the lower half of the heater box and remove the lower half of the box should be about six screws you should see the heater core and the evaporator core. Heater core skinnier of the two should have one or two straps holding it in remove the straps and remove the core and replace.

Need to replace heater core in 76 Eldorado convertible

You dont have to remove the dash but it might make it a easier job if you did. The heater core is removed from under the R/S dash. after removing the lower dash covers, glove BOX, A/C programmer. Then from under the hood, disconnecting heater hoses, and removing heater case mounting bolts. Then finally jockying the heater box from under the dash without spilling coolant fronm the heater core is a trick. Hope this helps.
