Turn your ignition switch on and listen for the fuel pump you should here it for 2 seconds then check your fuel pressure. If can't here the pump cut on then cut off or you don't have any fuel pressure then your pump is bad.Fuel pressure should be 9-13 psi with engine running.

Changed timing chain on my 1989 K 1500 5.7 liter 350 4x4 Fixed Shortage in Battery Cable now fuel injectors spraying too much What Could Cause them to Spray Too Much Fuel?

The injector pulse is delivered to the injectors from the engine computer which works out the timing and duration of each pulse from pre-programmed values suitably modified by processed information from various sensors.

If any sensor becomes faulty the engine computer should record the fault and switch to a get-you-home emergency programme that mostly the engine finds quite adequate to start up and run reasonably well.

While it is possible the fuel pressure regulator isn't working causing a massive overpressure, or one or more of the injectors are faulty or if it is the type of injection system that uses a separate cold-start device that is faulty, it would be the height of coincidence - on the face of things, it would seem a strong possibility the engine management computer has been damaged during your electrical crisis.

I have encountered a couple of cars that for different reasons the battery became disconnected while the engine was running. The resulting power surge fortunately only destroyed the engine computer of one car but the other car had every electronic item destroyed, including the instrument voltage regulator and the radio.

Computers of all sorts are very vulnerable to power surges...

My 1995 Chevy s10 3.5 tbi won't spray fuel to the tbi, won't start and I redone all the ground wires but it still isn't grounded wats my problem

I can find no s10 with 3.5L engine? If you swapped engines, I'm afraid I can't help you?
I can talk to you about the basics. The fuel injector voltage circuit usually goes hot with the key on. The computer grounds the fuel injector ground circuit. engine cranking, if computer doesn't see rpm signal or there is a problem with security system, where applicable, the computer won't ground the fuel injector.

My 1993 Geo tracker fuel systen is not working, the injector is not spraying. now it is sprayin on the inside of the carborator and filling the carborator up.. how do i fix this problem//

there is no CARB on this car.
that must be the throttle body engine, TBI EFI.
1 injector engine not the 4 MPI engine.
G16a is TBI G1b is TBI and both sold day 1 , new.
its is supposed to spray, but you forgot to say when.
just key on over and over not running, (not spray is correct)
it sprays cranking and running,, that be its job1.

lets say it sprays key one.
That means:
1: injector leaks.
2: injector - o-rings are bad. (cracked)
3: ECU injector drivers shorted (bad ECU)
you can look at the inject on this car, air pipe off TBI horn.
see if the seals leak or injector tip leaks ?
if the injector actually leaks.
unplug the injector connector (4pin plug)
leak now.
yes, injector is bad or just o-rings
no, the ECU is bad. (common on this car)
i can even tell you which transistors are bad.... etc.....ask.

both engines covered here.

91chevy 5.0 l TBI won't spray any fuel out of injectors .can spray chemtool carb cleaner in throttle body and it starts up . have replaced distributor twice still no injector spray ?

could be clogged up, clean injectors. gunk in bottom of fuel tank can be sucked through and block injectors. also check fuel pump.

1998 350 Silverado will not start

I believe that you have throttle body injection (TBI) Take off the air cleaner and have someone crank the engine look at the injectors and see if fuel is seen..Do you or have you smelled fuel when you were recently attempting to start truck???? if so this sounds like you are not getting spark....if you havent smelled fuel try priming TBI with gas and see if the truck fires...If so you know that problem lies in fuel delivery... On TBI systems it is very important that a conicle spray pattern is delivered by injectors for proper ignition if injector drips fuel into TBI this could cause a no start condition...To see if spray pattern is correct you can use a timing light if available...Hook it up as normal (red positive post and black negative post and pick-up on #1 spark plug wire) point light at injector and have assistant crank engine light allows visibility to spray pattern.....also check the fuel pressure regulator and vacuum lines....Hope this helped you..let me know if I can help anyfurther....Good Luck!!!!

I am getting fuel to the tbi but it wont spray through the injectors please tell me what is wrong with it

Add techroline fuel injector cleaner and replace your fuel filter to increase the flow of gas to the injectors. You may need to repeat the cleaner until the injectors are clean.
