Invest in a Haynes manual. It gives you far more information and tips than a hand book. I hope this is of some help to you.

Hi, I have a v/w polo 1.4 tdi 2005/6, my problem is that while I am driving this car at a certain speed the engine starts to accelerate on it's own, and becomes very dangerous, then I touch the pedal

Have the system monitored with a special scan tool while this happens, that means a trip to the dealer. Buy a VW and experience unexpected acceleration!

I need to replace the rear brake pads on my Polo 1.9 TDi

this is a turn in caliper, meaning that as you try to compress the piston, you also need to rotate it clockwise. you can buy tool for this at nearly any parts store, and is fairly inexpensive.

Engine revs on its own! vw polo

There are many number of reasons for this problem...but a VERY common one is a faulty thermo sensor which controls air / fuel ratio.
