1994 chevy camaro

I have a 1994 camaro 6 cly. 3.4L engine. The problem is it is having a severe power loss and as you press down the pedal the engine screams and the rpm gauge gets close to the red,,and the car barely accelerates.
I know it may be a number of things but was hoping someone came across this and can help me out.Can it be timing chain?Im just not sure.
Thank you :)

but if it revs up and doesnt move you might want to check if you have transmission fluid in your transmission and that it's working properly if the motors rev's up that's what it's supose to do but if it revs and dont move then suspect your transmission ...

1994 Chevy Camaro, 6 Cylinder, stalling problem

Try cleaning the throttle body and the idle speed control valve, they get full of sludge and this causes stalling. Use a product called CRC Throttle valve cleaner on both parts, DO NOT USE CARB CLEANER IT WILL RUIN THE PARTS.
