Greetings I have the same situation. All 4 windows in my car just stopped working. I checked all fuses and they di show continuity. I was informed that it may be tha power window relay. This is for a 1995 Honda Civic (4dr). I looked under the dash fuse panel and I noticed a relay and was loose. I am inquiring as to what the actuall part # of type of relay might belong to this year model /make. the relay I removed was a Denso 056700-8570. Is this acturate? Can anyone assist? There is a connector that fits over the relay which rubs against the relay and the relay does not set right. I'm not entirely sure this is the right relay.

I'd take a look at the driver's door window switch unit. Power to each door is routed through that switch panel first, and then to the other doors. If it died or failed in some way, it'll keep you from opening any windows in the car, using any of the switches. They're available at most salvage yards for around $10 - it's a quick and easy try and it may well fix your problem.

When you say everything goes dead are we talking all lights, radio, wipers? If so, main power or ground cables bad or fusible link. If just engine, check coil, ignition module, crank/cam position sensor.

06 Colbalt Electrical System Dead

I would go to the positive terminal on the battery anjd check for black hard build up on the post and inside the terminal. This is lead sulphate and cause a high resistance to any high current flow. Clean both with sand paper until shiny and refit and tension properly. Do the negative also as it will have build up but to a lesser degree. If the battery lead runs through a connection box Check for tight connections there also. As to towing most towers have a wheel rack that fits under the tyres and lifts them clear of the road so it can be taken to to a shop.

I would say that you need to replace the alternator. The car was running on the batteries power. When you drove the car, it ran the battery completely dead.

My 2000 Ford Windstar is having some electrical issues. I was driving it home and the AC stopped working the radio went dead the odometer went dead my turn signals did not work and I could not roll down...

Check your alternator. My van did something similar. I was driving down the road and all of the sudden my windows, a/c, radio, door locks, speedometer, everything electrical went down. We stopped and tried to crank it and it wouldn't. Then finally it cranked up went another mile before the fuel pump quit working too. It was the alternator. I had to have someone come jump me off and follow me to the parts store and then home for it to be fixed.

92 HONDA SPEEDO WORKS ONLY HALF THE TIME

Try tracing the wiring harness to the bundle under the intake. It is attached to a large metal bracket. The wiring has probably worn bare. Wrap the bundle with electrical tape and try to isolate it from the bracket better. I have repaired several intermitten speedos on 92-95 Civics due to this.
