I spilled baby milk and have bad odor need to clean

I would try using baking soda and soapy water. The baking soda will help remove the foul odor. And febreeze auto clips work wonders. You may need to buy the double pack for a spacious interior. Vinegar is also good for removing odors, but then you'd have that smell in the car. If you choose to use vinegar dilute with water. hope this helps.

I have a gas spill in back of van

All you can do is flush it with cold water and then air it out for a few days. If it got on any carpet shampoo that as well.

Need to remove smoke odors from car

  • If you smoke in your car, then this will be obvious but even someone else smoking in the car unbeknown to you can leave a lingering odor. To try and get rid of it, place two towels into two separate plastic bowls and fill with white distilled vinegar. If the car is really big, use additional bowls. Place the plastic bowls into the car with the vinegar-soaked towels. One should sit near the ashtray, and the other one on the backseat. The vinegar will absorb the cigarette odors from the car, so that when you remove the bowls, the odor should leave too. If needed, repeat.[7]You can also try sprinkling baking soda and/or carpet deodorizer over the upholstery and carpet respectively, leave for a few hours, and then vacuum it up. If you or somebody else regularly smokes in the car though, the odor will always be present, so the best thing to do is to stop smoking in the car.

2008 Ford Escape Hybrid Strong odor of gas in Pass. comp. No odor in engine Comp., Could not find any leaks fuel filter cnaister fuel lines. Odor is stronger on passager side. aired it out but still...

lift the back seat and their should be an access panel on the floor pan where you gain access to the fuel sender which houses the fuel pump and i suspect that their is a leak here on the pressure side ,now if your unsure about tackling this type of job please go straight to a local mechanic to have a look for you as the vehicle is dangerous in this condition and could catch fire and petrol vapour is more explosive than liquid petrol.

Wet carpet

Your drain tube for the air conditioning is plugged up, and instead of draining on the ground, it's leaking on the carpet. You need to go under the car and locate the tube (it's on the passenger side, in front of and below where the front passengers feet would be. You will need a long thin wire to clean out the blockage.

When i bought my car 08 xb scion on 6/07 new car, but it never had that new car smell. Smell is a strong odor. Dealer replaced ac vent hoses, also heating ducts, have 9 repair orders for this problem....

It's probably caused by water leakage somewhere. Carefully check the carpeting for any dampness. The padding under the carpet may be wet, and this would be difficult to detect, and dry out. I have a car that developed a leak at the firewall, resulting in a terrible disgusting odor. I had to pull the carpet back to reveal the area that was soaked with water (the padding under the carpet is like a sponge). After repairing the leak, it took some time to dry out the padding. I used a lot of baking soda to help absorb the odor. Dust with baking soda heavily, leave overnight and vacuum it up, repeat many times. Since this is a new car though, the dealer needs to correct this by pulling out the carpet to see where the problem is. It could also be caused by a plugged (pinched or improperly installed) drain tube from the a/c system. This is a shame, because the Scion is a great car with an excellent customer satisfaction rating. Let me know how you make out, or if I can be of any help.
