The whole mechanism is run by two cables. The first from the hood release latch to the left side hood catch. The second from the left hood catch to the right one.
First look and see if the second cable is disconnected from the left hood catch. if it is just pull it and the right should open. If not...
Have somebody with skinny arms to reach up from under the car and manually pull the lever on the right hood catch.
Hope this helps...

No clutch peddel. will go in gear and pull if eng ine is off. enough peddel to keep car from moving , can not shift.

check that there is fluid in teh clutch reservoir under the hood.

if you pop hte hood on the drivers side (right side) of the engine in the back right corner of the engine bay you will see two fluid reservoirs each wwith a grey cap. the one closer to the front of hte car is the brake fluid, behind it is for the clutch. It should be filled between the min and max lines printed on teh side. you fill the reservoir with dot3 brake fluid. It is important that you don't let any contaminates or water get into the fluid so most people try to use a fresh botle every time they top it off.

after that you really should have yoru ****** fluid changed or at least inspected for proper fill amount.

How to change a 2003 x-type jaguar head light bulb

Open your hood.Behind the head lamps you will see black plastic covers held with spring clamps. There is one on each side of the assembly (the outer clamps not visible). So reach in and undo the clamps to remove the covers. Disconnect the wire on the headlamp bulb and release the small spring clamps on each side of the bulb. It should come right out. Install the new H1 bulbs and make sure the dimple goes inside the little alignment hole in the housing for alingment. Slight twisting L & R will help you check this until you feel it insert) Install the small clamps. Install the connecting lead wire on the bulbs and install the covers. Make sure to place BOTH clamps on the covers. NOTE: the passenger side is really limited in room to remove the outer clamp. I recomend a long screwdriver to help release it. Re clamping the outer clamp will take some finesing to get a hold of it and bring it forward. I recomend looping a metal wire on the middle to help bring it out and pull it to clamp it.)

The battery is dead on my s type jag and i can't get into the boot

on the right side of the fuse box (passenger side under the hood) there is a small bolt. you need to get some jumper cables and put the positive lead on this bolt. it is too small to clamp on there so you'll need to hold it on there and have someone else turn on the ignition and pop the trunk. it has to have 12 volts going into the fuse box. of course you need to ground the battery to the car too.

Headlight out

Under the hood locate the headlamp bulb. There's sometimes screws or clamps that hold the bulb in. Remove these to free up the bulb. If the access to the bulb does not have screws or clamps holding them in, then the buld just needs to be turned and it should pop out, unplug it and replace it with the new one.

Stuck hood on 2002 jag S type

Try and bump the top of the engine or just have some one hold the release latch and lift up on the engine until it pops open.

How do i open my 1990 chevy lumina hood from outside the car?

You have to engage the "hood release" from inside the car...
(lower left, under the dash, on side panel.)

The hood must "pop" up enough for you to reach under the hood at the center front. There is a lever an inch to the right of the center of the front of the hood. Swing that lever up and to the left about 2 inches.
The hood will pop open.

As you lift the hood, notice the horizontal metal rod that holds the hood up. While holding the hood open with one hand, lift the metal rod and insert it into the slot (hole) on the hood, beign careful that it is the correct slot on the hood.

Note: If the hood does not pop up when you engage the inside latch, then push down on the hood (it may be stuck) .... don't push down gently... give it a good push and release.
It will pop up.

I know that you knew some of this, but the detail may help others.
Hope this explains it for you.

2001 Jeep Cherokee: Passanger side hood latch is stuck

try pushing down on that side of the hood when you pull the lever (takes 2 people, or 1 with 4 9ft long arms). Keep holding the lever while you release the center latch and lift the hood. I can't promise it'll work, but it usually does. sometimes you have to play with it a while.

'94 LeSabre hood stuck

I had the same problem, it is very common in this year and model...you have to take off the grill and remove the locking latch from the hood. there is sill the hook that will hold the hood down. It just will not lock. You can then replace the whole locking mechanism because it is not fixable. You may also have to replace the handle because sometimes that breaks too, but thats an inexpensive fix.
