My fan won't come on with ac or heat. My car is a 2008 Dodge Caliber. Could it be the blower motor or the blower motor resister or both? Please help!!!

Didn't we discuss this yesterday? I left it that I asked if it was the heater blower or the radiator fan?

Disconnect the wires to the fan itself, making sure you know what wire goes where (. Take two wire from a known power source or the battery, and touch on each contact of the fan. If the fan turns, the problem is the resistor or the heater blower speed switch, if the fan doesn't turn, the fan is defective.

I trust you have checked the fuse?

Why blower fan won't turn off after i turn off ac/heater

You relay switch is stuck on. Replace it. Second thing to check is the fan switch may need to be replaced. If you turn off your engine and then back on does the heater fan go on even when it is turned off at the switch?

My heater/ac fan sometimes won't work. What do I check first?

$24the AC light does not light until you turn the fan on, that is ok, the issue with your fan only working sometimes is more than likely a faulty blower motor, in some cases it is the switch, when the motor does not turn on try tapping it and see if that makes it work, if it does then it is the motor.
the switch at autozone is part number SW295 and is $16
the motor at autozone with the blower wheel is part number PM136
cost is $24

Someone will need to check the fuse for the blower, then the blower motor and the resistor.

After i change thebrake switch will my fan blower for my heater and ac start working agian

No it won't.The brake switch is for brake light, interlock shift solenoids, transmission TCC controls, and stoping the vehicle, You fan blower has a completely different power supply that is independant from the brake electrical system, For you fan blower to operate its either the fan resistor blower or the fans control switch to the fuse

Ac fan switch won't turn on fan motor, was at one point just not turning on position 4 but now none will activate the fan motor

This is very common, this sounds like the blower resistor went bad, the blower resistor is what controls the fan speeds, the is located on the heater box next to the blowermotor, its held in with two screws and slides into heater box, lets see if i can send you a photo of the blower resistor to help you locate it.johnjohn2_107.jpg

Subject: 2004 isuzu rodeo...my ac/heater blower is not working

The resistors are in circuit only on the lower fan speed settings.
On the highest speed setting, power is switched directly to the fan motor.
Check fan power supply fuses,
Check power is available to the fan when high speed selected.
If all above OK, apply power directly to the motor to verify fan motor runs- if it doesn't the motor may need replacement/repair.
