Renault laguna??? could be a temperature sensor or it could be the pedal controls ,first i would test the temp sensors with a multimeter to check the voltages as it warms up i think their are two sensors but it could be one with more than one wire it all depends on the year and weither its a diesel or a petrol i have no idea what this secret code of X means sorry but i left the UK when X reg was a 1981

The throttle of my renault laguna is always accelerating without stepping on it when the engine is hot and it will be moving slow

renaults are notorius for the throttle sticking they are electronic and cannot be ajusted you can try spraying it with wd40 of eqivelent if that doesent work will need a new throttle pedal easy to do a couple of nuts and a wire harness you can do this yourself hope this helps ivan

Renault laguna x reg starts great when cold but struggles when hot. i have to pump accelerator two or three times before it will start. last week had to bump start car. any ideas

The first thing to do is get a compression check done,as you dont say what miles its got im assuming it has a few, so getting this done will confirm that it aint worn out.yet.

HI, DRIVING ON MOTORWAY WHEN CAR (RENAULT LAGUNA 1.9DCI 52 REG) STARTED SHUDDERING AND THEN THE HEATER PLUG AND ELECTRONIC FAULT WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON.

dont talk to me about these renaults ,pain of my life but iam a bit confussed here as to the warning lights because i would expect the warning lights to come on with the juddering ,then it picks up again this is caused by the sensors on the pedals under the dash ,(want to see my teashirt) but i dont remember the heater lights coming on at the same time ,you sure the timing belt hasnt broke ?? does it still run ??

Renault

Don't know which Laguna you have but normally there is a reset button on the dash. switch the ignition on , don't start and twist the black button firmly either left or right and wait for the result.
