Noisey clutch when clutch pedel is pressed - 2007 Volkswagen Passat Sedan

You have to press the gas as you let off the clutch or it will kill the motor.

Ask the mechanic who fitted it to check it out , if a heavy duty clutch was fitted that may be the cause and there is nothing that can be done.

Try cleaning the throttle body, and the air control valve

did you replace the pressure plate too?

if it was the clutch thrust bearing the noise would be there as soon as you put load on the pedal, so the noise will be coming from the spigot bearing because when you have the clutch pedal down a few inches the input shaft in the gearbox is almost stationary there fore the spigot bearing is then turning around the stationary input shaft causing the noise .when the clutch pedal is released the clutch plate is held tight by the pressure plate holding the input shaft at the same speed as the crankshaft there fore the input shaft and spigot bearing are turning at the same speed and not turning on each other and not making any noise .regards agwbk

have you depressed the clutch pedel sonatas have an interlock that prevent starting until the clutch pedel is pressed in if this does not fix the problem and the battery is fully charged trace the wiring from the clutch pedel to confirm its not brocken

Check on the upper part of the pedel to see if the clip that connects the pedel to the clutch master cylinder has poped off If the clutch pedel is on the floor this is a likely sulition and relitively easy repair you just reattach the clip

if you mean the clutch doesnt engage until the pedel is nearly all the way out (up) .. then there is an adjustment for that called "free pedel adjustment" .. its usually a 5 min job .. however if there is any clutch chatter or noise then you may need a new clutch plate ... a bigger job ... one way to burn up the clutch plate is to allow it to slip for a long time ... and thats what will happen if the free pedel adjustment isnt done soon ... if your problem is not that then maybe you can expain more ....

you should look under at the clutch bracket to see if that broke
then check above the same bracket to see if the upper mount broke
